Duke's Sports

Boston (+4) for 2 Units
Boston/San Antonio 8:35: The Spurs are on an 0-7 ATS slide and should struggle in this spot. Sure, the Spurs lost 5 straight on the road but remain a dangerous home team; however, NBA teams that come off a 3 game road trip have clanked at 42% ATS since 2002 and we don't feel the Spurs are fully in rhythm, especially on the defensive end; after all, the Spurs have allowed an uncharacteristic 99 ppg over their last 6 games. Furthermore, the Spurs are a mere 6-13 ATS in their last 19 against good defensive teams (those allowing 91 ppg or less) and should face more problems here. Boston has gone a sizzling 41-16-1 ATS in their last 58 road tilts, and covered 23 of their last 38 March games. We do realize that Ray Allen (ankle) could sit out here, but the Celtics are 10-2 ATS on Mondays, and covered 3 straight in this series, including 98-90 February 10th win in which Garnett sat out. We'll look for that St. Patrick's Day magic to materialize here.

New York Over (215) for 1 Unit
Knicks/Pacers 7:30: Both of these teams' defenses have not been fundamentally sound recently; over the last 5 games for these teams, the Knicks have given up 105.2 ppg while the Pacers have allowed a generous 111 ppg. The Knicks are in a revenge mode from their 103-100 loss at MSG February 8th; New York is 12-9 O/U revenging a home loss, and 7-3 O/U as a road dog of 6' to 9 points. The Pacers are 7-1-1 O/U in their last 9 games overall, and 8-1 O/U at home when the 'total' is greater than 210. This series has gone 4-1 O/U in its last 5 and we'll go "over" here.
