SCOTT DELANEY

10* OLD DOMINION - We’re playing the numbers in this clash between Monarchs and Cavaliers, as Virginia is mired in ATS skids of 4-10 in laying this many points, 2-5 after an ATS loss, 3-10 in laying between seven and 12-1/2 points at home and finally 1-5 in their last six on Monday nights. But we can’t just depend on trends, right? So why else would we want to play Old Dominion? Well, it’s because Old Dominion coach Blaine Taylor has always wanted to play this team. He’s told school administrators time and time again to set up a home-and-home series.

Virginia’s response: “No Thank You!” Well, enough of the slaps in the face rejection, as the Cavaliers have no choice. And quite frankly, this line makes no sense as Old Dom is 18-15 and 16-15 Virginia comes in off a lucky victory over Richmond in the first round, where the Cavs needed a 17-3 run at the end of the game to pull out a two-point victory. The Monarchs are going to be highly motivated to beat this team, so again, the line makes no sense.

10* CELTICS - Boston is still playing for a shot at the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and after an extensive – yet rather successful – road trip on the West Coast, it will be a solid homecoming for the motivated Celtics. It’s a dominating situation, when the Celtics play their Atlantic Division rivals, and tonight the run continues in division play. Boston has outscored its division foes by an average of 15.7 points, and I am confident we’ll see much of the same domination tonight, as the C’s have popped for at least 100 points in their three wins over Philly this season, trouncing the Sixers by an average of 17 points per game. The Celtics are 9-2 ATS the last 11 meetings, so let’s bank it.

Milwaukee @ Miami

3* Milwaukee -8.5

Miami is 10-24 ATS at home this year. Miami is allowing 101.2 points per game overall and 101.1 points per game at home this year. Heat are 14-33-1 ATS in their last 48 games overall. Heat are 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points. Heat are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a ATS win. Heat are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. Heat are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Heat are 11-31 ATS in their last 42 home games. Heat are 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. NBA Central. Heat are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. Heat are 13-40-3 ATS in their last 56 vs. Eastern Conference. Favorite is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Miami is still without around 70 points per game with all the injuries they have. Milwaukee should roll over this depleted Heat team. We'll play Milwaukee for 3 units tonight!

3* on Utah +2.5

The Utah Utes are a great play Monday as the dog to Tulsa in the 2nd round of the CBI Tournament. Utah handled UTEP in the opening round by a final of 81-69, a UTEP team from the Conference USA that Tulsa has struggled with this season. Tulsa’s offense just can’t seem to put the ball in the basket consistently. Tulsa is 4-13 ATS after playing a game where both teams score 65 points or less over the last 3 seasons. Utah gives up just 63 points per game on the season. It’s their defensive effort against a terrible Tulsa offense that gives Utah the edge here. Bet Utah on the road.

Black Widow Sports

1* on Bradley -6

Bradley plays Ohio tonight as the Braves take full advantage of their home court. Bradley is 11-6 in home games this season while the Bobcats are 7-11 on the road with a terrible 5-10 ATS mark. Bradley is scoring over 73 points per game at home whereas Ohio musters just 61 points per game on the road. Ohio is 0-6 ATS in road games after a game where they failed to cover the spread this season. Bradley is 8-0 ATS after a close win by 3 points or less over the last 2 seasons. Bradley will use this momentum for a big blowout win over Ohio Monday. Take Bradley and lay the points.
