In the first of this best-of-three CBI series, it will be the Braves from the MVC that take the opener on the road. Bradley is just the better team, and like we saw with them in a win at Virginia, they'll come through. Boasting the backcourt of Daniel Ruffin and Jeremy Crouch, they'll be too much for Tulsa and anything they can counter with. Take the points, but the Braves win this one outright.

UTAH (-7½) over Washington
Utah continues to struggled on the road, losing yesterday in Minnesota, but the Jazz are 24-11-1 ATS at home, including 20-6-1 ATS as a home favorite of 13 points or less. Tonight the Jazz apply to a solid 69-23-1 ATS situation while Washington applies to a negative 17-55-3 ATS situation. The Wizards at 23-14 ATS on the road this season and 15-6 ATS in revenge games, but they are not good in those roles without rest, going just 2-6 ATS on the road unrested and 2-2 ATS in revenge games if they played the previous day. Washington went to overtime last night in Los Angeles and playing in the high altitude of Salt Lake City is tough enough without having had to play an overtime game the previous night. My ratings favor Utah by 8 ½ points with the Jazz fully healthy, but Andrei Kirilenko is doubtful and Ronnie Brewer and Mehmet Okur are both questionable. The Jazz have been able to maintain their level of play with injuries in recent years and they’ve actually been better in the games that Kirilenko has missed this year (although I think that’s a fluke), but I’d hate to play the Jazz and have all 3 of those players out. I’ll lean with Utah at -8 points or less.

My ratings favor Tulsa by only 4 points over Bradley after accounting for Tulsa’s good play at home this season. The line opened at 4 and has since gone up to 5 ½, so I’ll lean slightly with Bradley at +5 or more based on the line value
