4 UNIT PLAY

Boston -141 over OAKLAND

3 UNIT PLAY

Philadelphia -115 over WASHINGTON

The Phillies are in their last 6 games as a road favorite and 10-2 in Moyers last 12 road starts with the total set at 9.0-10.5, while the Nationals are 3-13 in their last 16 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and 5-16 in their last 21 home games vs. a left-handed starter. Jamie Moyer struggled in his first start vs the Braves, but he usually struggles vs them. Today though he will be facing a team he has handled. Moyer is 11-4 with a solid 2.83 ERA in 23 starts vs them and he is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA at Nationals Park. Daniel Cabrera is just 48-60 with a 5.07 ERA in his career as a starter and he is 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA in 1 start vs the Phills. The Nationals are averaging just .244 on the year, while their pitching hgas been horrible as they have a 7.84 ERA overall, including an 11.14 ERA from their starters. Not good numbers, especially when about to face a strong Phillies offense. The Phils are only hitting about .260 on the year, but in their last 4 games the Phils offense has hit .324 and has scored 7.5 rpg. No way Washington can Match that. The Phills are the better squad here with a much better starter and they should have no problems with the Nats today.

2 UNIT PLAY

LA DODGERS -1.5 (+120) over San Francisco

The Dodgers are 4-3 on the year, but all 4 wins have been by 2 runs or more. Chad Billiningsley is 3-0 with a 3.69 ERA vs the Giants and he is also 17-8 with a 3.58 ERA at home. Yes Randy Johnson is undefeated in LA (7-0), but he has only faced them once here since 2004 and he is just 1-3 in his last 4 meetings with Dodger Blue overall. With Chad at home vs a Giants team that has scored just 7 total runs in their 3 games away from home and with RJ not the same pitcher he wonce was I'll epect LA to take this one by 3+ runs.

1 UNIT PLAY

CHICAGO -133 over Colorado

The Rockies are 1-6 in Jimenezs last 7 starts with 5 days of rest, while the Cubs are 12-2 in Lillys last 14 starts vs. a team with a winning record and 9-2 in his last 11 starts during game 1 of a series. Ted Lilly has pitched well at Wrigley Field, going 16-10 with a 4.13 ERA there, with teams hitting just .235 vs him in his home starts there. Ubaldo Jiminez has not fared well vs the Cubs, going 0-2 with a 7.24 ERA in 3 starts vs them. The Cubs bats are coming alive and even though they will be playing about 15 hours after their game with the Brewers they should still have little trouble with the Rockies today.

Matt Rivers

For Monday lay the road price with the Red Sox.

Boston did just lose the series in Anaheim and has not exactly started the season on-fire so laying coin on the highway is far from an absolute steal but Jon Lester is awesome and very much more than likely to shake off the rust and get back in the groove afterthe poor opening start.

Lester is a tough tough kid who has really impressed with over the past few seasons. Just coming back from Cancer alone was tough enough and then to be as good as he was last season after winning the final game of the World Series two seasons ago proved to me this guy has a great makeup and will rebound from the tough opening start against the Rays.

Oakland is going to be pretty good this season if the young arms can come through. They revamped the offense a bit bringing in Matt Holliday and Nomar Garciaparra which can only help what has been the epitome of mediocrity over the past few seasons. Dallas Braden was the opening day starter and is not a bad lefty but he is no Lester and all in all the Red Sox are clearly the more complete lineup and team overall.

David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury and the rest of the visitors should be able to get to Braden and with Lester going at least seven strong combined with Saito and Papelbon I'll take my chances here on the struggling but still borderline great Sox.

Tony Weston

Today's Selection:

We’re switching gears and heading out to the diamond where we’re taking the Cincinnati Reds on the road at the Milwaukee Brewers.

Going back to last year the Reds are on a 4-2 run against the Brewers and have taken 6 of their last 8 in Milwaukee.

Even better for Cincinnati is when tonight’s scheduled starting pitcher Edinson Volquez takes the mound. In Volquez’s last 9 starts with the Reds installed as a dog, Cincinnati is 8-1 and the team has won 6 of the last 7 games when he starts on the road.

Consider also that Milwaukee has won only one of its last six games against right-handed pitchers. Also, the Brewers have won only two of their last eight games when installed as a home favorite priced between -110 and -150.

Tonight, Milwaukee will drop another one as Volquez leads Cincinnati to this victory. Pencil in Volquez as your starting pitcher and take the Reds on the road in this one.

Karl Garrett

Baltimore at TEXAS -125

G-Man rolling with a 13-6 comp play run the last 19 days, and tonight I like the offense to lead the way to another OVER at Arlington.

Texas played OVER the total in all 3 of their home games last week against Cleveland, and there is no reason to think tonight's game against Baltimore won't land OVER the total as well.

Baltimore is fresh off a 6-game homestand that saw them land OVER the total in 4 of the 6 games.

Can't count on rookie Uehara to deliver another 5 innings of 1 run ball like he did in his ML debut against the Yankees last week, at least not in Texas. And you certainly can't count on Vincente Padilla against Baltimore, as the O's did tag him for 14 runs in 7 innings in a pair of 2008 starts in Baltimore.

Expect the offense to light the scoreboard up in this one, and for the Orioles-Rangers to make their way OVER the posted total.

Chicago +4' at DETROIT

Delivering you a FREE winner on the pro hardwood tonight as we go with the streaking Bulls as they visit Detroit.

The Pistons clinched their playoff spot on Friday and then came out Saturday and lost 106-102 to the Pacers as a two-point road 'dog. This team is just happy to get in and will likely play it cool the final couple games of the season. So go ahead and grab the points with the Bulls tonight who are trying to get the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Chicago has won four straight and beat Charlotte 113-106 on Saturday. They have been scoring big points lately and have topped 103 points in eiach of their last eight games.

Plus the Bulls have just dominated the Pistons in head-to-head matchups at the betting window. Chicago has cashed in seven straight against Detroit and in nine of the last 10 meetings. The Bulls won 99-91 on March 24 as a five-point home chalk and they cashed in Detroit in December, losing 104-98 but cashing as a seven-point 'dog.

The Pistons have packed it in until the playoffs and they are resigned to being the eighth seed and preparing to play the Cavaliers in a tough opening series. Chicago wins this one as they really want the sixth seed to avoid the Celtics. Play Chicago.

Sports Gambling Hotline

Minnesota at DALLAS -11'

Sunday comp play winner on Cleveland blasting Boston, as we are now 10-4 the last 14 days for free.

We say to lay the points with the Mavericks this Monday night, as they take on a Timberwolves team they have bested all 3 times they have played this season, covering in 2 of the 3.

In fact, Dallas has won ALL 10 of the last 10 series meetings, going 4-1 against the spread the last 5 meetings, and 6-2 ATS the last 8 meetings.

Dallas has won 5 of their last 7, and they are trying to avoid staying out of 8th place in the West standings so as to avoid # 1 seed LA in the first round of the postseason.

The Mavericks are on a 10-4 against the spread their last 14 home games, and we expect them to up that mark to 11-4 with the Monday blowout win over visiting Minnesota.

The Magic are already gearing up for the playoffs. Dwight Howard will be

The favorite is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meeting between
these two teams and I look for that trend to continue here. Lay the points.
