No. 5 North Carolina looks to stay unbeaten in the ACC today at Noon ET when it is a big home favorite vs. N.C. State.
According to oddsmakers from oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, North Carolina is heavily favored at home, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -15.5 points against N.C. State today. The over/under total has yet to be set.
North Carolina is 15-2 on the season, 4-0 in the ACC, 9-0 at home and 8-8-1 against the spread. N.C. State is 10-7 overall, 0-4 in the ACC, 2-2 on the road and 6-8 against the spread. UNC has won four of the last five in the series, but the Wolfpack are 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings. These two have hit the over in three of their last four encounters.
NC State has covered the last three games against their state rivals. Last season, they actually shocked North Carolina in Chapel Hill, 58-46. Guard Cat Barber leads the ACC with 22.5 points per game and the Wolfpack have a solid enough group in the paint to contend with the size of the Tar Heels. Abdul-Malik Abu (11.6 points, 8.3 rebounds) is 6-8, 245 and not intimidated by their frontcourt.
