I book wagers in Las Vegas, I had a ton of money riding on Atlanta and the Lakers, and yes I know there are people that just bet for the hell of it, but if you look outside the box and straight into the NBA, you can see how the officials of the NBA control the game. Do I think the Thunder are better than the Lakers, no, do I think the Bucks should win against the Hawks, no. Check the foul total in the first half on the Lakers and Thunder. I am not saying the Lakers shot well, but only 10 fouls were called against the Thunder, and 20 against the Lakers. It's all about selling concessions and making the series go longer for revenue. Sure it all shakes out in the end, but this is deemed a show, entertainment, to satisfy the NBA fans. They are after the revenue, and don't worry about the contenders, the officials will make sure the right team wins game seven. If anyone watched the Laker game, it was almost like they knew, there was no effort. The NBA playoffs are like week 17 in the NFL, pathetic, but they make millions every year doing it. I didn't bet the games, but I hate seeing people bet into the most fixed sport in the country. These are the holes that make book-makers rich. My advice is to stay out of the holes, bet on a game that means something, seven game series is there to take your money, nothing else.
Blade, just had to get my two cents in here. It's one thing to do your homework and lose in the last minute, inning, or shot, but c'mon, the NBA is flat exposing that they want 6 to 7 games for revenue. The Lakers will draw sellouts, and so will Cleveland, so #8 seeds will be more likely to push for a game 6 or game 7. I think Chicago made it for a reason, they have a bigger draw than Toronto.
I know what you are saying it is unwatchable, I haven't watched a NBA game start to finish in years and really have no interest at all except for betting on the games.
The Heat was an easy play today, facing elimination, looks like more popcorn and hotdogs. I had heavy plays on the Heat-1.5, Mavericks+3, and Nuggets+2.5 today. There was some action on Cleveland, but it wasn't as strong. I would love to see a game without any officials in it, now that would get my attention.
Anything in my mind that is PRO is for entertainment purposes only it's all fake at some pt. or another. It's all fixed because it's all about CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
