The Golden State Warriors (29-17) are one of this season’s nice surprises, as they have jumped out to a .630 winning-percentage. They have won three straight and have a good chance of stretching that streak to four when they host the Phoenix Suns (16-31).

Unfortunately, they have to do so without Stephen Curry. The starting point guard has missed the past two games with a sore right ankle. Jarrett Jack has been a strong backup this season (12.8 PPG, 5.8 APG) and is more than capable of leading his squad to victory over the conference’s second-worst team.

Two more games to keep an eye on are Atlanta Hawks (26-19) vs. Chicago Bulls (28-18) and Portland Trail Blazers (23-23) vs. Utah Jazz (26-21).

If the season ended today, the Bulls would be hosting the Hawks in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs. A lot could change by mid-April, but it is always interesting to watch two teams face-off in a potential playoff preview. The Jazz and Blazers won’t be seeing each other after the regular season ends. Instead, it is much more likely that one knocks the other out of the Western Conference’s playoff field altogether. The Blazers are currently on the outside looking in, but the gap between them and the Jazz’s seven-seed is only 2.5 games.
