The lone game taking place on Sunday's card is an intriguing matchup simply from the tip time. The Warriors are playing their first early afternoon contest at home this season with a 12:35 PM PST tip-off, as Golden State looks to even up its series with San Antonio at 2-2. The Spurs actually pulled off quite an accomplishment in Game 3 to take the 2-1 series edge.
For the first time in the postseason, the Warriors lost at Oracle Arena, a 102-92 defeat to the Spurs, as San Antonio pretty much led for the final 38 minutes. Gregg Popovich's team cashed outright as 2½-point underdogs, while nailing the money-line at +125. Finally, San Antonio's defense slowed down Golden State's hot shooting from the perimeter, limiting the Warriors to 39% from the floor. Stephen Curry turned his ankle late in the fourth quarter, but the Golden State sharpshooter never got going by hitting 5-of-17 shots.
The Spurs counted on four players to lead the way from a scoring standpoint, as Tony Parker stepped up with a 32-point effort, the most he has scored this postseason. Manu Ginobili struggled again from three-point range by hitting just 1-of-8 shots from downtown, but Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard picked things up in the frontcourt with a combined 38 points.
'Over' bettors were shafted for a second straight game, as the Spurs and Warriors sat at 105 points at halftime in Game 3. The total closed at 201½, but Golden State's struggles from the floor resulted in just 44 second-half points, as the Warriors couldn't overcome a nine-point deficit. In Game 2, the two teams combined for 36 points in the final quarter after putting up 155 points in the first 36 minutes on a 205 total.
Curry is listed as a game-time decision on Sunday after receiving treatment on his sprained left ankle. The All-Star mildly sprained his ankle in Game 2 of the Denver series, but returned to score 29 points in the following contest at home, a 110-108 victory over the Nuggets. Parker sat out Saturday's practice with a bruised left calf, but he will likely play in Game 4.
The Warriors fell to 3-1 SU/ATS at Oracle Arena in the postseason following Friday's loss, while dropping to 11-5 in the last 16 home contests. Mark Jackson's club also suffered its ATS loss in the playoffs after eight straight covers, as that streak actually extended to 11 dating back to April 12.
The Spurs had issues in the postseason on the road in years' past by posting a 2-11 ATS record from 2010-2012. However, San Antonio has bounced back nicely by winning and covering all three away contests this postseason, while improving to 1-3 ATS the last four opportunities as an underdog. The role is flipping in Game 4 as the Spurs are listed as one-point favorites, as San Antonio has covered just three of the last nine times in the road 'chalk' role.
The total dropped to 198½ from the 200+ numbers in the first three games, but that has to do with Curry's status and the early tip-off. Golden State put together a 9-7-1 mark to the 'over' in home games with totals below 200, which included an 'over' in the final regular season home meeting with San Antonio, 116-106. The contest tips off at 3:35 PM EST and can be seen nationally on ABC.

The Golden State Warriors were supposed to take control of the Western Conference semifinals when the series returned to Oakland, Calif. Instead, the veteran San Antonio Spurs proved that they were not ready to slow down with a Game 3 win, and will be looking for a commanding 3-1 lead in the series when they visit the Warriors again on Sunday. Golden State star Stephen Curry suffered another left ankle injury at the end of Game 3.
Curry fought off a sprain to that same ankle in the first round, needing an injection at one point to bring down the inflammation. The 25-year-old has had ankle problems throughout his career and will be a game-time decision on Sunday. The Warriors are already dealing with All-Star David Lee’s torn hip flexor, which has limited him to five minutes total since Game 1 of the first round. The Spurs have an injury concern of their own with Tony Parker, who is dealing with a tight calf. Parker, who scored 25 of his 32 points in the first half to put San Antonio in control on Friday, is not expected to miss Game 4.
ABOUT THE SPURS: San Antonio showed some fight early in Game 3, with Tim Duncan shoving Warriors center Andrew Bogut on their way back up the court after one possession. That aggression was evident on the defensive end, where the Spurs bottled up Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and held Golden State to 39.3 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green have drawn the unenviable assignments on Thompson and Curry most of the time and limited the “Splash Brothers” to 12-for-37 in Game 3. San Antonio was held in check for all but a few minutes during the first two games of the series and Parker had struggled getting past Thompson’s length on offense. That changed in Game 3, when he was able to get into the lane and went 13-for-23 from the field. The calf injury, which occurred in the fourth quarter, affected his lift and led to some missed shots late, but the Spurs already had the game under control.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS: Curry has easily the most scrutinized ankles in the Bay Area this week, with Bogut’s surgically-repaired ankle a distant second. Curry put up 44 points in the Game 1 loss and took over late to hold off the Spurs in Game 2 while Thompson took over the bulk of the scoring. Curry rolled the ankle planting after coming off a curl late in Game 3 and limped noticeably the rest of the game. X-rays taken after the game came back negative, and he will test it again in pregame warmups on Sunday. “You never really know how it’s going to feel the next day,” Curry told reports. “You just keep with the treatment.” The Warriors have had their depth tested throughout the postseason with Lee on the shelf and have shown an ability to matchup with any alignment the opposition puts out. Golden State started centers Festus Ezeli and Bogut together in Game 3 and have gone small before with Jarrett Jack in the starting lineup and Harrison Barnes pushed to the No. 4 spot.

Miami won 14 of last 15 games overall; they're 6-1 in playoffs, with no wins by less than 10 points. Team that led at halftime won all six series games so far this season (one game was tied). Under is 4-2-1 in Heat's last seven away games. Chicago has been mentally tough in playoffs, they compete like hell, but reality is their 3rd string PG starts now. Hard to beat Miami that way.
To those who say Steph Curry shouldn't have played whole game in 1st game of series, Warriors were +1 in 42:00 he played in Game 3- Spurs outscored them by 11 in 6:00 he sat out. Warriors are 11-1 vs spread in last twelve games overall; over is 4-5 in their playoff games. Spurs are now 6-1 in playoffs, with five wins by double digits; home side is 5-2 in series games this year. Curry/Thompson combined to shoot 12-37 last game; not sure why Warriors get off to slower starts at home, but they have. Curry is supposedly gametime decision here (ankle).

After a tough 100-91 loss in San Antonio in Game 2, the Spurs got home court advantage right back with a 102-92 victory in Oakland Friday taking a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series. San Antonio out-shot in the first two meetings made the right adjustments holding hot-shooting Warriors to just 39.3% from the field. At the other end, Parker paced the San Antonio offense netting 32 points with Duncan chipping in 23 points in the win. San Antonio winning eight of its last ten at Golden State cashing six tickets (6-2-2 ATS) are now 15-6-1 ATS on the road vs Pacific division foes. Warriors losing the cash in Game-3 have now 8-1 ATS in post season, 11-1 ATS overall. Stephen Curry (22.9) hurting his ankle Friday night, David Lee (18.5) out nursing a sore hip the Warriors could easily be held under the century mark again putting the team in dangerous betting territory as they're 15-26-1 ATS scoring =< 100 points including 6-10 ATS as a home favorite.
