Tuesday's Best NBA Bets
By Covers.com

Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers (-1.5, 191)

The young Cavaliers are tough to get a read on from one game to the next, but with Kyrie Irving leading the way, their future looks bright.

The Cavaliers shot just 36 percent on Sunday and still came away with a 93-92 victory when Irving hit a pair of free throws in the final second of play.

"We got a little lucky tonight, that's all I can say," coach Byron Scott told reporters. "I didn't think we played the way we are capable of playing. I thought we were kind of messing around in the first half. [The Kings] had a lot of confidence they could win the game. We just tried to turn it on. You just can't turn it on and off."

Irving finished with 21 points, but hit only eight of his 23 attempts from the floor while Cleveland dropped the cash for the third time in four games.

Meanwhile, Detroit has covered in each of its last four.

Pick: Pistons

Sacramento Kings at Miami Heat (-14, 203.5)

Strangely enough, it seems as though the Miami Heat are happy to share the NBA spotlight these days.

With the Jeremy Lin buzz and a hectic schedule providing plenty of plotlines, the Heat have quietly won six games in a row, both straight up and against the spread.

"We don't know if people get bored (with Miami winning) or not," LeBron James told reporters. "We just know there's a lot more going on. I guess there's other, better story lines right now going on in the league, so we can go out and just play the game and just try to do it at a high level. Let everybody else get the headlines right now and just play Miami Heat basketball."

Clearly, this team has come a long way since The Decision. The Heat have won each of the last six by at least 12 points, which has allowed them to sit James and the starters regularly in the fourth quarter.

That rest is going to help them out a lot in the second half of the season.

Pick: Heat

Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers

Cavaliers off a one point squeaker over Sacramento Kings hope to record back-2-back victories for just the second time this season when they host Detroit Pistons. Not that you don't have enough reason to back Cleveland as Cavaliers after their 105-89 win at Detroit earlier this season are now on a 14-2 (12-4 ATS) stretch vs Pistons including 7-1 (5-3 ATS) at Quicken Loans Arena. However, this may not be the best spot as Cavaliers are on a 0-8 (3-5 ATS) skid attempting two in-a-row since winning back-2-back games against Nets/Bobcats in January. Cavaliers also enter on a 6-20 ATS skid as a favorite of -4.5 or less. Besides, Pistons have been money in the bank of late thanks to a surge that has seen the team post a 7-2 (8-1 ATS) mark the past nine on the hardwood. Pistons on a 24-9 ATS streak as pups of +4.5 or less makes them a solid NBA Sport Pick on Tuesday night.

NBA is a funny aniaml just when you think you gotit all figured out whammmmmmmmmm you hit a losing streak of 10 or moree !

Fortunately for me i read between the lines of websites like covers and others i handicap games on my own and 1 sure shot cover today is the Hornets +11 @ Pacers

WHY? 1st off Pacers are not the miami heat or anyother top team to be laying such a huge number !

BUT heres the situtaion ; Last game vs the lowly bobcats as a 10.5 chalk they literrally BBQ'd the bob cats by 35 points ! 35 points was margin of victory!

SO here we are aginst the lowly subbie Hornets and wow only 1/2 point more favored

Pacers last 5 home games are +6 ppg Hornets last 5 road games are - 3 PPG sptread should be 5 or 4 not 11

I see a very close game here maybe 3 - 5 points and possible upset Hornets !

Actually the large margin of victory to use is 21 points or more !

SO far this year and years past it's a huge fade 98% on teams after large wins like this rested even 1 night makes it worse

YOU will see point spreads jump 2 -3 points with no news of injuries pre game !

funny this Pacers spread hasnt budged yet 3:45 pm still abot 3 hrs till tipoff !

anotherthing wish more users would make post instead of just reading your articles Blade !

Sure enough a cover lost by 10 points

other games i had was Blazers - 4 vs spurs what a demolition it was Blazers in 1st half 66- 43 3rd qtr it got worse 37-22 and won the 4th qtr 34-32

tooo easy this one was simply because spurs on a b 2 b and mising top two starters Ginobli and defender Splitter

this was the only favorite tonite all others were puppies covered and 1 small 1 point home dog destroyed the 76ers 89-76
