NBA Clippers vs. Blazers Picks & Predictions for January 26, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

PORTLAND, OR (ATS Consultants) – With Chris Paul likely to be out again for the Clippers, will the Blazers pick up a win and a cover tonight when the two teams meet at the Rose Garden at 10:00PM ET?

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Blazers as 2-point favorites versus the Clippers while the over/under total is currently sitting at 191 points. Los Angeles enters player with a 32-12 overall record and Portland is 21-21 on the year.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Blazers opened as 2-point home underdogs but with Paul expected to be out again, the line has flipped to Portland -2. As for the total, it opened at 192 and has been bet down to 191.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 80% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Clippers. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Portland. According to latest NBA trends, Clippers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. loss, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. Trail Blazers are 12-2-2 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and favorite is 6-2 ATS L8 in series.

The Clippers don't know when Chris Paul will return. Paul is likely to miss a third consecutive game Saturday night when the Pacific Division leaders begin a home-and-home set with the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden. Paul missed the last two games and was ineffective against Golden State on Jan. 21. It's no coincidence that the Clippers have lost three in a row.. Los Angeles shot 39.8 percent as it opened a stretch of 10 of 11 on the road with its third loss in a row when they fell at Phoenix on Thursday, 93-88. Portland (32-12 SU, 19-21-2 ATS, 19-22-1 O/U) to a much-needed win on Wednesday, routing Indiana at home, 100-80 to halt a season-high six-game losing streak. Forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and received more good news Thursday, getting named an All-Star reserve for the second straight season. He's averaging 20.7 points and 8.8 boards. The loss of Paul will be devastating once again for the Clippers, who will rely on Eric Bledsoe to defend speedy rookie Damian Lillard. The loss of Paul will cost the Clippers on the road. The LA Clippers travel to the Rose Garden to take on Portland at 10pmET.
