NBA Clippers vs. Heat Picks & Predictions for Friday, February 8, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

MIAMI, FL (ATS Consultants) – In what could be a potential NBA Finals preview, the Heat will host the Clippers at 8:00PM ET tonight. Which team will cover?

Last game: (11/14/12). LA CLIPPERS (+1) over Miami, 107-100. The Clippers are hurting right now and it shows. They broke a three-game losing streak on Wednesday by defeating Orlando, 86-76, giving 6. Chris Paul (knee), Chauncey Billups (foot), Blake Griffin (hamstring) and Jamal Crawford (shoulder) are all questionable and game-time decisions. Miami has won three straight, including a 114-108 win over Houston, giving 7.5. Unlike the Clippers, they are healthy.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Heat as 5.5-point favorites versus the Clippers, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 195 points. Los Angeles is 35-16 overall and Miami is 32-14.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Heat opened as 5.5-point favorites and while the spread is sitting as low as 4 at some online sports books, most places still have Miami at -5.5. The total, meanwhile, opened at 195 and has stayed at that number.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 69% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Heat. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK:
Take the under. According to latest NBA trends, Clippers are 6-13 Under last 19 games playing on 1 day rest. Miami is 0-4 Under is 4-0 last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, 1-4 Under last 5 vs. NBA Pacific, 1-4 Under last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game, 4-9 Under last 13 home games and 5-11-1 Under last 17 Friday games.

The Los Angeles Clippers' start-studded roster has been depleted by injuries. Los Angeles hopes Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups each will be in the lineup as it continues its eight-game road trip against Miami. Billups will likely play, while Paul, who has missed 9 straight games, is more likely to play on Sunday against the Knicks. The Clippers have struggled to score without them, as they put up over 100 points just once in the last six games. Griffin has sat out the last two with a strained hamstring and Crawford missed Wednesday's contest with a sore right shoulder. Billups, who has played in only three games and none since Dec. 3, appears ready to return after suffering from tendinitis in his left foot. Miami's only concern with whether Chris Bosh will play after sitting out with the flu on Wednesday. Expect the Heat to be on their best defensive game as they normally get up to face elite opponents while the Clippers will need to be careful with their stars even if they Play.
