NBA FREE PICK: Take Brooklyn. According to latest NBA trends, Atlanta is 1-4 ATS last 5 road games and is 3-8 ATS last 11 on the road in series. Brooklyn is 4-1 ATS last 5 overall, 5-1 ATS last 6 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game and home team is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings.

Atlanta (36-29 SU, 30-33-2 ATS) is coming off two straight wins over Phoenix (107-94) at home and the Los AngelesLakers (96-92). Brooklyn (38-27 SU, 30-32-3 ATS) defeated New Orleans, 108-98 on Tuesday giving 6. The Brooklyn Nets need this game since they are heading out West for an eight-game, 17-day road trip starting on Monday in Detroit. The Nets should finally be close to 100 percent guard Joe Johnson (16.6 points per game) returning from a sore heel.Fortunately, the Nets had a rare five days off to heal their wounds. The Nets can also close in on New York in the East as they are just one game behind. Point guard DeronWilliams has averaged 23.3 points since the All-Star break. He's led the Nets to winning nine of its last 14 to gain some confidence. The defense has also been stellar. They face an Atlanta team that they've beaten the last two times and held them under 90 in both games in 2013. Expect the Nets to take this one with ease. Atlanta visits the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to visit the Nets at 8pmET.
