NBA Hawks vs. Bulls Picks & Predictions for Monday, January 14, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

CHICAGO, IL (ATS Consultants) – The Bulls have won four of their last six games but have dropped two of their last three contests. Can they cover tonight when they host the Hawks at 8:00PM ET?

GAME INFO: Last game: (12/22/12). ATLANTA (-4) over Chicago, 92-75. The Atlanta Hawks (21-15 SU, 14-21-1 ATS, 18-18 O/U) are in a funk right now, losing five of six, after losing at Washington, 93-83 on Saturday, laying 3. They take on Chicago, who fell at home to Phoenix, 97-81 on Saturday giving 8.5. The Hawks take on the Bulls from the United Center on Monday night at 8pmET.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Bulls as 4.5-point favorites versus the Hawks, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 184 points. Atlanta is 21-15 overall and 9-9 on the road, while Chicago is 20-15 overall and 10-10 at home.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Bulls opened as 5-point favorites but the line has dropped to 4.5 at most sports books, or 4 depending on what book you view. The total, meanwhile, opened at 183.5 points but it’s been bet up to 184.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 72% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Bulls. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK:
Take Chicago. According to latest NBA trends, Hawks are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Central, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Monday games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. Favorite is 5-2 ATS last 7 in series.

Chicago has lost two straight at home but fortunately a struggling Atlanta team comes to the United Center, having lost to woeful Washington on the road Saturday. They did beat Utah at home on Friday night, 103-95, giving 4.5 to halt a four-game losing streak. Atlanta has also lost four straight in Chicago SU. Josh Smith was limited to just 11 points against Washington (16.7ppg average) on 4-of-13 shooting. Chicago needs a better performance from Luol Deng, who was just 5-of-16 against Phoenix in their 97 81 loss. That was after making 27 of his last 44 shots. Joakim Noah is averaging a double-double with 12.4 points and 10.5 rebounds - and he's registered a double-double in three of his last five games. Make that five in a row at home against Atlanta for Chicago with a cover at home.

2013 NBA FREE PICK: CHICAGO BULLS -4.5
