NBA Heat vs. Raptors Picks & Predictions for Sunday, February 3, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

TORONTO, ONTARIO (ATS Consultants) – Will the Raptors pull off the upset when they host the Heat today at 2:00PM ET from the Air Canada Centre?

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Heat as 4.5-point favorites over the Raptors, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 195.5 points. Miami enters play today with a 29-14 overall record while Toronto is 17-30 overall.

LINE MOVEMENT: Miami opened as a 5-point favorite but the spread has been bet down to 4.5 at most sports books, while the total has dropped from 196.5 down to 195.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 78% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Heat. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Toronto. According to latest NBA trends, the Heat are 8-18 ATS last 26 meetings in this series, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games playing on 1 days rest and are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. Eastern Conference.Raptors are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Southeast, 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. Eastern Conference, 16-6 ATS in their last 22 Sunday games, 9-4 ATS in their last 13 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home games.

Toronto gave Miami all they could handle just last Wednesday. Now they've added Rudy Gay in a three-team deal and the optimism is high after the Raptors destroyed the Clippers, 98-73 on Friday night. Gay came off the bench to score 20 points for Toronto. The Raptors (17-30 SU, 25-21-1 ATS, 24-23 O/U) had lost four straight games and this move should rejuvenate this franchise. Nothing like playing on Super Bowl Sunday that gets teams pumped up or flat. Expect the Heat to be flat once again on the road, where they are just 11-11 SU. Miami (29-14 SU, 21-22 ATS, 21-22 O/U) is coming off another poor road performance against Indiana on Friday night, as they lost 102-89 giving 2. Last Sunday, they fell at shorthanded-Boston, 100-98 on overtime. Toronto now has two explosive wings in Gay and the underrated DeMar DeRozan, who averages 21.3 points per game in his last eight against Miami. Expect the Heat to have more issues on the road on Sunday.
