LAST GAME: (Dec. 5). LA CLIPPERS (-8.5) over Dallas, 112-90. The Dallas Mavericks (13-22 SU, 10-19 ATS, 21-14 O/U) have lost three straight including a 100-94 defeat at Utah on Monday, getting 5. The Clippers (27-8 SU, 22-13 ATS, 20-15 O/U) have won two straight, which includes a 115-89 win over Golden State on Saturday, giving 6. The Mavericks visit the Staples Center in Los Angeles to take on the Clippers on Wednesday night at 10:30pmET.

After scoring 11 points or fewer in his first five games back from knee surgery, Nowitzki has put up at least 19 in his last three. The Mavericks have begun showing some signs of life offensively as Nowitzki has rounded into form, averaging 100.5 points on 45.6 percent shooting in January. They had averaged 92.3 points while shooting 42.5 percent in their final nine games in December. With Crawford out or not 100% and Nowitzki getting his game back, expect this game to be a lot closer than the double digit spread.
