STARS

-Kobe Bryant, Lakers, scored 34 points with eight rebounds and six assists in a 108-105 victory over the Utah Jazz, putting Los Angeles in the Western Conference finals for the first time in four years.

-LeBron James, Cavaliers, scored 32 points - 19 in the second half - in a 74-69 victory over the Celtics to force Game 7 in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

JUST ENOUGH

Kobe Bryant scored 34 points and the Lakers held off a furious rally by Utah in a 108-105 win on Friday, putting Los Angeles in the Western Conference finals for the first time in four years. The Jazz trailed by 19 at halftime and 16 at the end of the third quarter, but hit a flurry of 3-pointers to get within two points in the final minute. It was the only win by the visiting team in the series and kept the Lakers from having to host a Game 7 on Monday.

BACK TO BOSTON

LeBron James scored 32 points - 19 in the second half - and the Cleveland Cavaliers forced a decisive and fitting finale to this home-sweet-home playoff series with a 74-69 win in Game 6 on Friday night over the Boston Celtics, who have gone from regular-season road kings to postseason road kill. The Cavs are attempting to become the 14th team to overcome an 0-2 deficit and win a series, and to do so, the defending Eastern Conference champions will have to win Sunday in Boston, where the Celtics are 7-0 in the postseason.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

Deron Williams had 21 points and 14 assists in Utah's 108-105 loss to the Lakers in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Friday night.

SPEAKING

``It was either win or go home. I'm not ready to go home.'' - LeBron James, who scored 32 points - 19 in the second half - in the Cavaliers' 74-69 win over the Celtics on Friday night that forced Game 7 in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
