Over 65% are backing Detroit so far on the road, Detroit beat this team by 14 at home and now NY look to get revenge at home, note though that the Knicks too come off a tough loss at Atlanta and I would typically lean on the dog/over here except that Detroit has played the under in 8 of their last 9 but the line has dropped 2 points since the onset of it and NY has played the over in 4 of their last 5 games at home. Small lean on NY here, no lean on the total.
Portland vs. Toronto
Another road chalk that is backed by 65% of the public here, but I'm actually a fan of Nate McMillan and Portland. This man teaches defense like no other, one of the most solid defensive coaches in the league and this team has built together one based on defense and sound offense. Note, the public slightly favors the over in this game to a tune of 56% as well. Folks, Portland is 14-7 and 7-7 on the road (7-0 at home) - that shows a lot about this team's ability to play on the road going .500 in the NBA for this young team is very impressive. Hell, going .500 in the Eastern Conference is impressive as this team has gone .500 on the road and perfect at home. Portland comes off a tough loss at Boston and note that Toronto comes off a brutal road trip where they lost to the Jazz, Lakers and Utah. Toronto's new coach makes his debut at home here, regardless, I lean on Portland the better team but Toronto does come off after a tough road trip with new coaching so they likely get up for this game - but Portland has been great bouncing back to win SU after a loss this year.

The Lakers have yet to lose back to back covers for quite some time and the come off an ATS loss to the Wizards on the road, having said that, the Lakers are also backed by 70% of the public and the Bucks are one of the better ATS teams in the league as they currently sit at 14-6 ATS covering 6 of their last 7, no thanks, conflicting information.
