NBA Nuggets vs. Bulls Picks & Predictions for Monday 18, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

CHICAGO, IL (ATS Consultants) – The Nuggets can match the longest winning streak in their franchise history tonight when they take on the Bulls at 8:00PM ET at the United Center.

Last game: (2/7/13) DENVER (-6) over Chicago, 126-96. If not for the Miami Heat, the Denver Nuggets would be the talk of the NBA. Denver (45-22 SU, 42-24-1 ATS) has won 11 straight games after beating Memphis, 87-80 on Friday, laying 5.5. Chicago (36-29 SU, 28-37 ATS, 28-37 O/U) is coming off a 113-85 road win over Golden State on Friday, getting 4. The Nuggets visit United Center in Chicago to take on the Bulls at 8pmET on Monday night.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Nuggets as 3.5-point favorites versus the Bulls while the over/under total is currently sitting at 194.5. Denver is 45-22 overall and 15-19 on the road, while Chicago is 36-29 overall and 18-14 at home.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Nuggets opened as 2.5-point favorites but the spread has been bet up to 3.5 at most online sports books, although some places have the line as high as 4. As for the total, it opened at 196.5 but has been bet down to 195 or 194.5 depending on the book you view.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Denver. According to latest NBA trends, Denver is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, 17-4 ATS in their last 21 vs. NBA Central, 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall, 28-9 ATS in their last 37 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Monday games, 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a S.U. win and 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 games following a ATS win. Chicago is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS win, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a SU win of more than 10 points, 9-23 ATS in their last 32 home games, 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games playing on 2 days rest, 8-23 ATS in their last 31 vs. Western Conference, 3-10 ATS in their last 13 Monday games and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Northwest.

Chicago is looking to get Derrick Rose back this week from a knee/hamstring injury. He's been out nearly a year and the Bulls certainly miss him. They had lost four of five games before winning at Golden State on Friday. Now they face a team that is one game behind third-place Los Angeles Clippers. The Nuggets are not just winning, they are covering games, (9 of 10). They take on a defensive-minded team in Chicago, who found a way to score points against Golden State, but will struggle tonight against a high-scoring Nuggets team. Denver got a great game on Friday night from center Kosta Koufos, who scored 18 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds against a great Memphis frontcourt. Denver has won four straight road games during its 11-game win streak. Second-year forward Kenneth Faried had 21 points and 12 boards in a 128-96 victory over Chicago on Feb. 7, when Denver shot 58.1 percent. He can help keep Joakim Noah (13.3 rebounds) and Carlos Boozer off the boards. Expect Denver to have their way after a two-day rest.
