(The Spread) – The New York Knicks will attempt to break an 11-game losing streak to the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night, two of the losses coming since the Carmelo Anthony trade.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the New York Knicks an 11.5-point favorite and the over-under is currently 216.
New York has a record of 37-38 overall and 21-17 in home games. The Knicks have won their last two contests. Cleveland is an NBA-worst 15-60 and are 5-32 on the road. According to the latest NBA trends, the Cleveland is 7-3 against the spread versus New York over the last three seasons. Seven of the last 10 games in this series have gone over the total in the last three seasons. Cleveland is 31-41 ATS in all games this season, while New York is 41-32 ATS.
New York is 3-7 in its last 10 games, while Cleveland is also 3-7 during that frame of time and have lost its last two.
NBA Free Pick: After having their heads down repeatedly after losses during the Carmelo Era, the Knicks may have finally turned a bit of a corner after two straight wins that brought their confidence level up a great deal. While the Cavaliers have had New York's number this season and in recent years, they are still the worst team in the NBA. The Knicks are out for blood and Anthony said this week that New York is focused on redeeming itself versus Cleveland and also continuing its recent stretch of strong play as it prepares for the postseason. I usually don't like to play such a high number, but I can't help but like New York as 11-point favorites.
