The Minnesota Timberwolves look to avoid a third loss to the Portland Trail Blazers when the two meet tonight at 9PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Blazers are favored at home in tonight’s game, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Timberwolves. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 209.5 points.
Portland is 22-26 overall, 13-10 at home and 26-22 against the spread. Minnesota is 14-34 overall, 7-16 on the road and 20-27-1 against the spread. Portland has won and covered the spread in three straight meetings with Minnesota, including two meetings this season. These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings as well.
Minnesota has covered three of their last four games. Portland is a young athletic team, but they'll meet their match against Zach LaVine, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Wiggins and company. Minnesota lost by just three to Oklahoma City. They have been covering games lately, but just have difficultly finishing games. Towns, who had 32 points on 13-of-17 on Friday against Utah, should have a big game against a mediocre Portland frontcourt.
