During the college basketball season, there usually aren’t many wagering opportunities on Friday nights. Sometimes there are several Ivy League games, but rarely do bettors have 10 board games and it’s VERY RARE for there to be three televised games. But gamblers are in luck this Friday, so let’s break down your betting options.
**Wofford at College of Charleston**
Pending Thursday’s results for both teams, this game was off the board as of Thursday night. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2.
Wofford (12-7 straight up, 10-4 against the spread) has been a steady money maker this year. The Terriers have won five in a row, compiling a 4-1 spread record in the process. They are coming off Tuesday’s 68-62 win over Davidson as five-point home favorites. Noah Dahlman dropped 17 points on the Wildcats to pace the winners.
Charleston (11-6 SU, 8-3-1 ATS) is the only unbeaten team remaining in Southern Conference play, as the Cougars have beaten their first six So-Con foes. They have covered the number in each of their last six lined games, including Tuesday’s 90-66 win at Chattanooga as one-point road underdogs. Andrew Goudelock had 22 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Tony White Jr. had 19 points, five boards and four assists.
Bobby Cremins’ team is unbeaten in six home games, posting a 2-1 spread record.
Mike Young’s squad has not been afraid of the big boys this year. The Terriers have a pair of wins over SEC teams, beating South Carolina and Georgia. They also covered the spread in losses at Pittsburgh (63-60), at Michigan St. (72-60) and at Illinois (78-64).
Charleston beat North Carolina in overtime two weeks ago. Against other top-tier programs, we saw the Cougars lose 86-69 at Tennessee and 94-55 at Clemson. They covered as 26-point underdogs at UT, but obviously hurt their backers in the blowout defeat at Littlejohn Coliseum.
When these teams met last year, Charleston won both encounters by two-point margins. However, the Terriers took the money as underdogs in both situations.
The ‘over’ is 6-4 overall for Charleston, 1-1 in its home games. Meanwhile, totals have been a wash for Wofford (6-6 overall).
The ‘under’ is 4-1 in the last five head-to-head meetings between these So-Con adversaries.
**Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Youngstown State**
LVSC opened UW-Milwaukee (11-8 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) as a 1 ½-point road favorite.
UW-Milwaukee has won three of its last four games, including Tuesday’s 67-61 win over Wright St. as a 3 ½-point home underdog. Deonte Roberts and Ricky Franklin scored 18 points apiece for the Penguins.
Youngstown St. (7-10 SU, 4-6-2 ATS) is 5-3 SU and 2-2 ATS at home this season.
For bettors unfamiliar with these squads, let’s take a look at how they’ve fared against quality foes in non-conference play. Youngstown St. lost 72-56 at Pitt and 83-57 at Xavier. As for UW-Milw., it lost 71-51 at Marquette and 68-58 at Wisconsin.
The ‘under’ has been a money-making machine for the Panthers, cashing at a 9-2 clip overall. Meanwhile, the Penguins have watched the ‘over’ hit at a 5-3-1 overall pace.

**Iona at Manhattan**
Las Vegas Sports Consultants opened Iona (13-6 SU, 8-5 ATS) as a two-point favorite.
Manhattan (7-11 SU, 7-7 ATS) has lost three in a row and six of its last seven. However, the Gaels are 3-1 ATS in their last four games, including Tuesday’s 83-68 loss at Siena as 16-point underdogs.
Iona has won four consecutive games both SU and ATS, including Tuesday’s 72-59 win over Rider as an eight-point home favorite. Scott Machado had a team-high 20 points for the winners.
Manhattan is 4-3 SU and 3-3 ATS at home this year. The Jaspers are playing their first game as home underdogs. They are 4-3 ATS as underdogs on the road this season.
Iona has been a road favorite once this year, losing 77-65 at Canisius as a one-point ‘chalk.’
The ‘under’ has cashed in four straight Iona games and is 8-4-1 overall for the Gaels.
The ‘under’ is 6-5 overall for Manhattan, 3-1 in its home games.
