Monday’s games
Michigan State won 11 of last 13 games with Iowa; Hawkeyes lost 11 of last 12 visits to East Lansing, with lone win three years ago. Spartans are 6-2 vs schedule #32; they won their first conference game by 11 at Rutgers Friday. MSU is experience team #94 that has made 41.5% of its 3’s so far. Spartans start three juniors, two seniors. Iowa is 6-1, losing Big 14 home opener by 6 to Wisconsin; Hawkeyes are #247 in experience (#32 in MC)- they’re best team in country at getting to foul line, but this will be their first true road game this season.

Troy State is 2-4 vs D-I teams after losing last game to Austin Peay in OT; Trojans are 0-2 in true road games, losing at Saint Louis by 4, at Pitt by 9. Troy is experience team #106 that has played schedule #276- they’re playing slowish (#293) pace and making only 30.5% of their 3’s. Florida State is 6-1 vs schedule #19; their last three games were all decided by 6 or fewer points- all three were against top 50 teams. Seminoles are experience team #123 that is turning ball over 21.7% of time. Sun Belt road underdogs are 10-8 vs spread this season.

Wisconsin is 3-2 vs Rutgers in Big 14 play; home side won all four regular season meetings, with Scarlet Knights losing visits to Madison by 22-20 points. Rutgers is 5-2 vs schedule #158, with an upset win at Miami in their only true road game. Knights are experience team #311 that is turning ball over 20.8% of time, shooting only 57.5% on foul line. Wisconsin is 7-1 vs schedule #13, with only loss by 7 to Virginia in finals of Atlantis tourney. Badgers have made 42.1% of their 3’s; they’re starting three sophomores, two seniors.

Niagara lost its last three games, all vs teams ranked #193 or lower; they lost last two games to the two St Francis teams- no bueno. Purple Eagles have eFG% #343, shooting 28.3% on arc, 41.2% inside arc- they’re experience team #104. Niagara starts a frosh and two sophs. Pitt is 7-1 vs schedule #337 in Capel’s first year as coach; Panthers are #295 experience team whose eFG% defense is #15 in country, forcing turnovers 22% of time. Pitt starts three freshmen, two juniors- they beat local rival Duquesne 76-53 in last game Friday.

North Dakota State is 2-6 vs schedule #143, losing true road games by 17-18-42 points; Bison are #298 experience team whose subs are playing #38 minutes- their eFG% defense is in bottom 10 in country, losing last game 95-88 to Drake in last game Saturday. ND State starts two frosh and a sophomore. Iowa State is 6-1 vs schedule #194; they’ve got some guys out- their bench is playing 7th-fewest minutes in country. Cyclones are 3-0 vs teams ranked outside top 200, with wins by 26-12-27 points.

Monday’s NBA
Oklahoma City won 14 of its last 17 games; they covered seven of last nine home games. Four of their last five games stayed under. Detroit won its last five games (4-1 vs spread); they’re 9-3 SU at home. Five of their last seven games went over. Thunder/Pistons split their last eight meetings; OKC is 2-3 vs spread in its last five visits to Detroit. Seven of last eight series games stayed under.

Washington is 4-5 in its last nine games; they’re 2-9 SU on road. Four of their last five games stayed under. New York won four of its last six games; they’re 4-2 as HU. Seven of their last ten games went over the total. Knicks lost nine of last ten games with Washington (2-8 vs spread); over is 3-1 in last four series games played here. Wizards covered three of last four visits to Manhattan.

Warriors lost six of their last nine games; they’re 1-6 vs spread in last seven road games. Four of their last five games went over. Hawks lost 12 of their last 14 games; they’re 2-6 vs spread in last eight games as AU. Five of their last seven games went over. Golden State won its last eight games with Atlanta (4-4 vs spread); they’re 2-2 vs spread in their last four visits here. Four of last five series games stayed under.
