Tuesday’s games
Home side won last eight Providence-Boston College games; Friars lost their last five visits here, by 5-2-9-3-12 points. Friars are 6-3 vs schedule #179; they’re experience team #286 that turns ball over 20% of time- this is their first true road game. Providence won its last three games; they’re 1-2 vs top 100 teams, losing by 3 to Wichita St, 19 to Michigan, beating South Carolina. BC is 6-1 vs schedule #328; they’re experience team #261 (MC #34) that won both its top 100 games, by 12 points each over Loyola, Chi and Minnesota.

Detroit is 3-5, losing its last two games, when they went 15-59 on arc after making 47-85 on arc during 3-game win streak. Titans are experience team #150 (#338 in MC) that is shooting 40.9% on arc, while getting 44.9% of their points there (#5 in country). Detroit lost its two top 100 games, by 16 at Temple, 21 at Butler. Dayton lost its last three games after a 4-0 start, but all three losses were to top 40 teams; Flyers are experience team #263 (#113 in MC) that is 3-0 vs teams ranked outside top 100, winning by 8-30-11 points.

Indiana won 10 of its last 12 games with Penn State, winning last three by 3-8-4 points; Hoosiers won five of their last six visits to Happy Valley. Underdogs are 3-1-1 vs spread in last five series games. Indiana is 6-2 vs schedule #182, losing both their true road games, at Arkansas/Duke. Hoosiers are experience team #297 that is turning ball over 21.1% of time. Penn State is 5-3 vs schedule #36; Nittany Lions are experience team #314 that is making only 31.1% of its 3’s. PSU split its two top 100 games, beating Va Tech by a point, losing by 7 at Maryland.

Miami lost its last three game, by 2-3-4 points, after a 5-0 start (vs schedule #177); Hurricanes are 3-0 vs teams ranked outside top 100, winning by 21-38-8-36 points. Miami is experience team #88 that is forcing turnovers 21.9% of time; this is their first true road game. Penn is 5-2 vs schedule #277; they’re 0-2 vs top 100 teams, losing to Kansas State, Oregon State both by 16 points. Quakers are giving up 63.2% of their points inside arc, 2nd-highest in country. Ivy League teams are 14-8 vs spread in their last 22 games vs Ivy League squads.

Northeastern is 4-4 vs schedule #20; Huskies’ coach Coen went to college at Hamilton, about an hour from the Carrier Dome. Bradley made 10-20 on arc, forced 20 turnovers (+10) in 86-46 drubbing of Little Rock LY; Braves are experience team #114 (#24 in MC) that is 4-3 vs schedule #237- they’re 2-1 vs teams ranked outside top 200, winning by 11-16 points, losing by 12 at IUPUI. Bradley is playing slow pace (#276). Little Rock lost four of its last six games; they’re 3-4 vs schedule #309, losing its two top 100 games, by 28 at Nevada, 10 at Tulsa. Trojans start two frosh, two sophs; they’re turning ball over 20.7% of the time.

Georgia State is 5-3 vs schedule #69; they lost by 25 at Creighton in their only top 100 game. Panthers are #64 experience team that forces turnovers 22.2% of time- despite that, their defensive eFG% is #214. Panthers lost their last game by 26 at Liberty- they start two juniors, two seniors. Alabama is 5-2 vs schedule #117; they’re experience team #274 (#53 in MC) that is 4-0 vs teams ranked outside top 100, with wins by 20-8-8-16 points. Crimson Tide is turning ball over 20.4% of time; they start three sophomores and a freshman.

Tex-Arlington is experience team #289 (#349 in MC) that lost its last four games after a 2-1 start; they lost last game by 11 at home to #254 Rio Grande Valley Saturday. Mustangs lost their two top 100 games, by 14 at Indiana, 18 at Arkansas. Mavericks are turning ball over 23% of time (#333), shooting just 22.4% on arc (#351). Jackrabbits are experience team #185 that forces hardly any turnovers (#350) but makes 42.1% of its 3’s- they gave up 84-80 points in their two losses, by 6 at Fla Gulf Coast, by 4 to Tulane on a neutral floor. Memphis is 3-4 vs schedule #46; Tigers are experience team #132 that is turning ball over 21.1% of time, making just 28.6% on arc- they’re starting two frosh and two seniors. Memphis is 1-4 vs top 200 teams, with only win in double OT over #86 Yale.

Florida is experience team #262 (#97 in MC) that forces turnovers 24.1% of time while playing tempo #334- they were held to 60-60-54 points in their three losses.
