NBA Nuggets vs. Nets Picks & Predictions for Wednesday, February 13, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

BROOKLYN, NY (ATS Consultants) – Following their nine-game winning streak, the Nuggets have lost back-to-back games and now hit the road tonight to take on the Nets at 7:30PM ET.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Nets as 2.5-point favorites versus the Nuggets while the over/under total is currently sitting at 198 points. Denver is 33-20 overall while Brooklyn enters play with a 30-22 record.

LINE MOVEMENT: The game opened as a pick’em but the Nets are either 2, 2.5, or 3-point favorites depending on what online sports book you view. The total, meanwhile, opened at 199 and is now down to 198.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 53% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Nets. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Nets. According to latest NBA trends, Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Atlantic. Brooklyn is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.

These two teams desperately need the All-Star Break. Denver (33-20 SU, 32-21 ATS, 32-21 O/U) is limping into this game coming off a 109-108 loss at Toronto on Tuesday. The Brooklyn Nets used a team effort to come up with a 89-84 overtime win over Indiana on the road on Monday. That was without guard Deron Williams, who is out with an ankle injury. He'll use the break to recover. Denver will likely be without center Javale McGee (shin). Wilson Chandler (groin), Danilo Gallinari (sinus) and Andre Iguodala (neck) are all likely to be game-time decisions. With Williams out and Denver's frontcourt missing a piece or two. Brook Lopez scored 25 points, Reggie Evans grabbed 22 rebounds and rookie Tyshawn Taylor scored a season-high 12 points off the bench. Joe Johnson added 17 points for Brooklyn, which had dropped three of its previous four and is averaging only 86.1 points and shooting 41.4 percent over its last seven. With or without healthy players, the Nuggets will be tired from being on the road four of five games and in a back-to-back situation. Brooklyn will slow the pace down and grind this one out.
