West Virginia at Texas Tech +2
We won last week with ease with WVA playing on the road and we're looking to do it again. West Virginia is 12-1 and ranked 7th in the nation, while Texas Tech is 11-2 with a flawless 9-0 record at home. Without looking past the strong home record for TT, what's drawing me most to this game is the point differentials: The Mountaineers average 91.3 and give up 58.3 for a point differential of +33. The Red Raiders average 82 and give up 59.8 for a point differential of+ 22.2. WVA flat out scores more and similar strength of defense. WVA's only loss came to a good Temple team, since then they've won eight straight victories by a total of 47, 9, 57, 35, 27, 31, and 17 points. TT on the other than has suffered two losses, Auburn (10-3) by 2 and by 7 on the road to a respectable but 9-3 Iowa State. WVA is better than both those teams. This line opened up at -4 and has moved down to 2.5-2 in some places with a whopping 94% of the money coming in to WVA. The fact it looks like sharp money is coming in on TT doesn't scare me away because I think that could have been an effort to get the line down to an attractive 2 that I'm biting on. The line was a bit high to start with IMO but now that it's a great value of a one bucket line, I'm in.
