VT is finally getting the national recognition as evidence of their 21st national seeding.The Hokies should be undefeated, but failed to keep a 13 point halftime lead against A&M. What impresses me most about a very deep VT squad is that they're 3-0 against Top 60 RPI opponents; by 10.7 PPG. NC State on the other hand is 0-3 vs Top 60 RPI opponents; loosing by an average of 16.7 PPG. VT has posted quality wins versus: Nebraska, Michigan, Ole Miss and most recently Duke. NC State has zero big-time victories thus far. Their toughest two opponents where Creighton drubbed them (L,112-94) and Illinois (L, 88-74) and most recently UMiami (FL) who killed them as well. VT scores an average of one more PPG and holds opponents to five fewer PPG than a young but still talented NC St. squad. The home crowed won't be enough to insure them a victory tonight.
