NCAA-B | Minnesota vs Indiana

I'm recommending a play on Indiana minus the points on Friday. Indiana lost some tough games against good competition and then put it all together in a 65-43 rout of Rutgers on the road on Monday. The Scarlet Knights were held to 24.1 percent shooting while Juwan Morgan led the Hoosiers with 24 points and eight rebounds and Robert Johnson added 19 points. Minnesota's season is rapidly deteriorating as it has lost six in a row and suffering from injuries and suspensions. The Golden Gophers come off a 91-85 home loss to Nebraska, which shot 50.8 percent overall and 47.8 percent from 3-point range. The Gophers wasted a 34-point effort by Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy added 22 points and 13 rebounds in a losing cause. Minnesota is 1-5 ATS its last six games and the Hoosiers have covered seven home games in a row. The Golden Gophers are 2-5 ATS their last seven road games. The distractions off the court earlier this season have all but destroyed what was a promising campaign for the Gophers. The Minnesota Timberwolves took a 140-138 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, but I think they'll bounce back with a strong performance when they visit the lowly Chicago Bulls Friday night. Minnesota shot 58.1 percent from the floor and hit 19 3-pointers in the defeat, and Chicago can simply not match that kind of offense. The Bulls are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak (1-6 ATS) and struggling big time without guard Kris Dunn who remains out with a concussion and note that they traded Nikola Mirotic to the New Orleans Pelicans last week.
The Timberwolves are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on one days rest. They've covered the spread in four straight meetings with the Bulls and this will be a special game for Minnesota's Jimmy Butler who will pay his first visit to the United Center as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Butler has averaged 22.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists and should lead the Wolves to a comfortable win.

Reason: This will be the first time since Blake Griffin will have the chance to face his former team in the LA Clippers. Griffin has energized this Pistons club. The Pistons are 9th in the East conference with a 27-26 record, just percentage points behind Philadelphia. In fact, only three games separate the Pistons from 4th place in the East. That makes this Griffin trade even bigger. Detroit has not lost since they got the star forward from the Clippers, winning five straight games. The Clippers also sit in 9th place in the West and are just four games back of 4th place. This should be an interesting game and I have no doubt that Griffin will have extra incentive tonight against his old club. The Pistons have been a very good over team of late, going 6-1 O/U in their last seven games and 5-1 O/U in their last six home games. The Clippers are 7-2 O/U in their last nine road games. The last four meetings between these clubs in Detroit have gone OVER. Play the OVER tonight.
