It's a low total in this game between Loyola-Chicago and Michigan, and while it is tempting to play it Over the total, I am going to add to the already obvious list of reasons why you should play the Under with a few more that have been on my mind.
Let's start with the fact that Loyola is allowing right at 62-points per game for the season, with Michigan not too far behind at 63-points per game! The Ramblers did land Over the total in their Elite Eight meeting with Kansas State, but their 8 games prior ALL landed Under, and they Under is 20-13 for the season.
The Wolverines have played 3 of their 4 tournament games Under the total, and for the year, Michigan is 17-19-2 Under the posted price. Michigan also shoots it at just 66% from the free-throw line, so they tend to leave a few points - 8 of them in fact in their Elite Eight win over Florida State - on the hardwood.
Let's add to this list a little bit of "big game" jitters, as it is only natural for both sides to feel a little nervous at the outset which could lead to less points being scored. Throw in the size of the Alamo Dome, and the depth-perception, and this one sure looks like a game in the upper-50's before it is all said and done.
Loyola-Chicago and Michigan Under in your first semifinal.
