Free pick on Rockies/Diamondbacks UNDER
I'm recommending a play on the UNDER in Saturday's series finale between the Rockies and Diamondbacks. This is a rare case where we get a team's best starter in Game 3 instead of the opener, as Arizona's Zack Greinke was pushed back a couple of days after originally being named the Opening Day starter.
After a disappointing first season with the Diamondbacks, Greinke bounced back in a big way in 2017. He went 17-7 with a 3.20 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 32 starts. He was especially good at home (Chase Field), going 13-1 with a 2.87 ERA. As good as the Rockies offense is, I think they have a hard time getting anything going against Arizona's ace.
Arizona has put up 17 runs scoring at least 8 in the first two games of the series. Not a surprise given the offensive fire-power in that lineup, but I think they are due for some regression here. Colorado will send out German Marquez, who was one of several young Rockies' starters who took a big step forward in 2017.
UNDER was 13-2 in Marquez's last 15 starts in 2017 when facing a team that scored 5+ runs in their previous game. UNDER was also 6-1 in his last 7 starts during Game 3 of a series and 14-3 in this last 17 vs a team with a winning record. Take the UNDER!

Warriors vs. Kings
Golden State -8.5
The Warriors are in a revenge spot here as they take on the Kings Saturday night.
Golden State has been battling injuries all season long, which has provided them with some interesting contests.
On in particular came at home, where nearly every typical starter was out. The Kings went into Golden State and took down the Warriors, marking a rare home loss for Golden State.
That is not the case here, as the Warriors have atleast a part of their core back. This is a team that doesn't forget though, which will really result in more aggression from them.
Some trends to note. Warriors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. Warriors are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.

Pirates vs. Tigers

I'll take my chances here with Detroit as a short home favorite against the Pirates on Saturday. Not a lot is expected of the Tigers this season, but this is simply too good of a price to pass up on with Michael Fulmer on the mound. Fulmer wasn't Detroit's Opening Day starter, as manager Ron Gardenhire gave the nod to veteran Jordan Zimmermann. However, I think just about everyone would agree that Fulmer is the Tigers ace of their staff. The 25-year-old has posted a 3.45 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, while posting double-digit wins over his first two big league seasons (51 starts). Fulmer has really enjoyed pitching in day games, where he's posted a 2.71 ERA in 19 starts (3.94 ERA in night games). Pittsburgh will counter with Trevor Williams, who was just 3-5 with a 4.96 ERA and 1.483 WHIP in 11 road starts last year. Detroit simply should be a much bigger favorite at home given the edge on the mound, as these two teams are pretty evenly matched offensively. Give me the Tigers -117!
