The NBA Playoffs are just a few weeks away, and as teams jockey for playoff position, we see a lot more intensity on defense. Both the Blazers and the Thunder rank among the top defensive teams in the league, ranking 5th and 7th in opponent's scoring average. The Thunder are just one game back of Portland in the Northwest, and there is just two games separating 3rd place Portland and 6th place New Orleans in the Western Conference standings. The Blazers have won all three of their games against the Thunder this season, and two of those three games fell short of the total. The total for tonight's game is higher than it was in any of those previous three contests. Going back almost a decade, the under is 23-9-2 in Portland's last 34 visits to Oklahoma City. The Blazers have failed to reach the total in eight of their last 11 road games, while Oklahoma City has gone under in four of it's last five at home.

This is a big number to lay with a team that is 1-5 L6 as a home favorite and 2-4 in their L6 games overall but leave it to the Knicks to be the remedy for what ail you. The Wiz have won the L8 games in the series going 7-1 ATS. New York has been reeling since The Unicorn (Porzingis) went down with season ending knee surgery and 2-8 L10 overall and just 3-8 L11 as a road dog. It's getting down to the end is the Wiz need to get back on track. They do it here today against the Knicks.

This one is going to fall just short of toppling this big total.
I know the numbers for each side do not bear out my selection, as Duke has played their last pair in this Dance Over the total, while Kansas has also played their last pair in this tournament, and 4 of their last 5 overall Over the total, but I get the feeling that both teams are going to come out a little "tight" in this highly-anticipated # 1 vs. # 2 true "blue bloods" battle-royale.
While both teams can score with the best of them -- both tallying in the 80's for the season - both can also protect the rim, as they are both settled right around 71 points per game allowed for the season.
Do keep in mind that prior to Duke's last pair of games landing in the Over column, they have played 8 of their previous 9 games Under the posted price. Also keep in mind that in Kansas' away games this season 7 of 11 have ended up holding Under the total.
Recent history in this rivalry also suggests a lean to the Low, as their Madison Square Garden meeting in November 2016 held Under the total, and 2 of the 3 since 2011 between these storied-programs have also held Under the total.
Gonna stick with the Low in Omaha this Sunday late-afternoon.

They are laying a few here on the road, and they are still the "walking wounded", but the Celtics passed a very big test on Friday night when they won outright against one of the better teams in the Western Conference in their road win at Portland.
Now Brad Stevens' team gets a little bit of a reprieve as they play in Sacramento tonight, and Phoenix tomorrow before moving on to Utah early next week.
Expect the C's to make some "hay" here against a Kings team that is playing off a win, and has won straight up in 3 of their last 5, while going 6-2 against the spread their last 8 games overall.
I am sure Boston is aware that Sacto has been a bit of a "tough out" here at the end of the season, and I am sure as good of a coach as Stevens is, he will remind his active roster of that fact.
Boston has claimed the win and the cover in 7 of the last 10 series meetings, but they did lose both straight up and against the spread the last time they ventured to California.
That changes today.
Celtics grab another road win and cover on this western swing.
