Based on current form, this total opened too short. The Hornets have come out blazing following All-Star break averaging 116.2 points in their last four games. The Celtics have gotten better offensively, but worse defensively. Boston is averaging 114.7 points in its last four games, while allowing an average of 111.6 points during its past five games. Both team's main scorers, Kemba Walker and Kyrie Irving, are in good shooting grooves. Walker is averaging 24.6 points during his last five games and has made at least 50 percent of his 3-point shots in the last six games. Irving is averaging 26.7 points in his last four games while shooting 53 percent from the floor during this span. The Hornets rolled past the Bulls, 118-103, at home last night. However, swingman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and big man Cody Zeller left with injuries. They are both questionable, It would be an added plus to the Over if neither can play, especially Kidd-Gilchrist. New York vs Vancouver Free Pick February 28, 2018
The New York Rangers didn't like the way their season was going, so they dumped half of their starting lineup at the trade deadline. Big names such as Rick Nash and team Captain Ryan McDonagh have left town, and no real names of any significance have come in return. The Rangers did what they needed to do for their future, but that doesn't bode well as far as winning games for the remainder of the season. The Canucks are also a team that is in the middle of a rebuild, but they are a lot closer to where they want to be. Bock Boeser and Bo Horvat are two of the league's up and coming stars, and veterans Daniel and Henrik Sedin can still be effective on the power play. Vancouver is ranked 7th in the NHL converting on 21.2 percent of it's power play chances. The Canucks have an opportunity to give the home town fans something to cheer about tonight, and I don't think the Rangers have much fight left in them.

It's an early tip today in Big Ten action, but my free play is on the Iowa Hawkeyes, on the moneyline against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Yeah, I know you'd probably rather lay points than juice, but baseball is right around the corner, so get used to it.
The Hawkeyes were able to snag a fraction of postseason momentum with a win over Northwestern in the season-finale. So even though they lost six of their last seven overall, I think they're a better overall team than Illinois.
The Fighting Illini arrives at Madison Square Garden having lost six of eight down the stretch, and make not they lost an overtime game against Iowa earlier in the season. Illinois' paltry defense will be tested against an Iowa offense that scores almost 80 points per game, and could produce 90 tonight.
Lay the moneyline here, as Iowa wins the 5:30 pm eastern tip.
