By Brobury Sports
The status of Brandon Roy and Tony Parker could be the key to tonight’s matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs.

The spread has not been released yet at BroburySports. This is the second half of a great TNT doubleheader after Miami at Cleveland.
Portland (29-22 SU, 28-22-1 ATS) has been a very resilient team this year. They already lost their two top centers, although Greg Oden is apparently keeping himself busy by sending nude pictures of himself to his girlfriend.
If that wasn’t bad enough, guard Brandon Roy has basically missed the last 11 games with a hamstring injury, Roy did play half of one game, but he’s been out the rest of the time. Portland has been 5-6 SU (7-4 ATS) without him.
The Trail Blazers played in Utah Wednesday night, losing 118-105 as 7 ½-point ‘dogs. LaMarcus Aldridge had 27 points for the losers. Roy was not able to play and he is questionable tonight.
The Trail Blazers had won their prior two games, at Dallas on Saturday in overtime and home to Charlotte on Monday. The Bobcats were playing well on their west coast trip, but they seemed to tire in Portland.
Spurs on a long trip
San Antonio (28-19 SU, 23-23-1 ATS) started an eight game road trip Wednesday night in Sacramento. The Spurs won 115-113 as 4 ½-point favorites. Tim Duncan had 22 points and 13 rebounds.
That was a good start to the trip despite failing to ‘cover.’ The Spurs were just 3-6 SU (and ATS) in their prior nine games. Guard Tony Parker was out again for Sacramento, the third game in a row, He’s probable against Portland.
Portland is the younger team in tonight’s matchup and they have the advantage playing in a back-to-back game, especially at home. The Spurs have played well on this February trip in recent years, but they’re getting old in key spots.
Portland is 4-0 straight-up and ATS in the last four meetings versus the Spurs. They’re 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Portland.
