3-Unit Play. Take Texas (-115) over Houston

Texas took the first game of the Lone Star series and I think that they are going to Take Game 2 as well. Brian Moehler has an ERA over 7.00 so far this year and I think that the Texas lineup is going to chew him up. The Rangers are 14-5 in their last 19 games and the only team they have struggled with was Detroit.

2-Unit Play. Take Los Angeles Dodgers (-115) over Los Angeles Angels

The Dodgers dropped the first game here but they have been so good at home that I think they come back strong. John Lackey’s team has lost both of his starts since he’s come back and I think that today makes it 0-for-3. The home team has had the upper hand in this series and I like the Dodgers and Randy Wolf today.

Marc Lawrence

Lakers at Nuggets
Pick: Lakers +4

The Lakers will look to rebound, both literally and figuratively, tonight against the Nuggets in Game Three of this Western Conference final round matchup. The one role in which the Lakers continue to shine is as a road dog in games off one-loss exact, if that loss was at home and they are playing with revenge. It's where the Lakers are 15-2-1 ATS, including 8-0-1 ATS provided the Lakers own a win percentage of .535 or greater. With Denver just 5-12 ATS as a favorite against the Lakers, including 0-3 SU and ATS when playing off a SU underdog win, we'll grab the points with the Lakers in this payback here tonight.

20* No Brainer

LA Lakers at Denver
Play: Denver -3.5

Denver is in a 90-51 ATS System that says to Play On any team that has beaten the point spread by 48 or more points total in their last 10 games vs. an opponent that went Under the total by 54 or more points total in their last 10 games. The Lakers are 12-23 ATS when the Total is 210 or higher and they are 3-7 ATS their last 10 home games. Los Angeles is 3-7 ATS their 10 Conference Final games and they are 1-7 ATS after scoring 100 or more points in their last game. 20* "NO BRAINER" PLAY ON DENVER -

PICK: Rashad Evans

Rashad Evans continues to get better and better with each fight. He has a top man in his corner, Greg Jackson. He can devise a plan that will create problems for Lyoto Machida.Evans is the superior athlete. He's also in tip-top shape, which could make a difference in this five-round main event. Evans has shown he has knock-out power, an excellent chin and is extremely light on his feet. He has the necessary speed and agility, which is a must when fighting someone who gives you the kind of angles Machida does.Look for Evans to get the better of Machida whenever they fall into clinches.Another factor to consider is the UFC would love a fight between Evans and Rampage Jackson. That could happen if Evans wins this fight. The UFC definitely doesn't want to have both Anderson Silva and Machida as their main title holders because they aren't crowd pleasers. The bottom line, though, is this is great value to get an undefeated champion in Evans, who has never lost as an underdog.

Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets
PICK: Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets are a perfect 12-0 against the spread in the playoffs, depending on the number. They have won all six of their games at the Pepsi Center in the post-season and will be sky-high for this matchup. So will their rabid fans. The Nuggets haven't lost at home in 11 weeks. The Lakers are reeling a bit, knowing they are lucky to have split the first two games at home. Denver very well could be up 2-0 in this series. The Nuggets' confidence is very high. Chauncey Billups has provided the necessary leadership and defense to get the Nuggets over the hump.Nene and Kenyon Martin have been much more effective inside than Andrew Bynum. The Lakers have to be worried about Bynum.

This is a one-unit play for me.
