My ratings favor the Tigers by 4 points using all games and by 4 ½ points using conference games only and I’ll take Auburn in a 3-Star Best Bet at -3 points or less and for 2-Stars at -3 ½ or -4 points.

Northern Iowa is 12-2 straight up in Missouri Valley play, including a perfect 7-0 straight up on the road despite being an underdog in 6 of those games. Wichita State, meanwhile, is just 6-8 in the conference and the Shockers are only 11-21-1 ATS in conference games under coach Gregg Marshall, including 5-17-1 ATS when not getting more than 6 points when facing a team with a win percentage of greater than .333. My ratings favor Northern Iowa by 3 points and using conference games only would favor the Panthers by 8 ½ points. I’ll take Northern Iowa in a 2-Star Best Bet at -1 or better.

**Fullerton State (+3 ½) over UC DAVIS
Fullerton State has lost a couple of games in a row, but the Titans have been a resilient team in 6 seasons under coach Bob Burton, going 36-21-2 ATS in games following a loss – including an incredible 27-4 ATS off a loss when facing a team with a losing record (5-1 this season). Fullerton is also at their best on the road against mediocre and bad teams, going 33-14-2 ATS in road games against teams with a win percentage of less than .570, including 10-3 ATS the last two seasons. My ratings favor UC Davis by just 3 points in this game and I’ll take Fullerton State in a 2-Star Best Bet at +3 points or more.

***Montana (+2 ½) over NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona has won only 5 games all season against division 1 competition and all 5 of those wins were against teams at least 2 points worse than Montana and the only teams that the Lumberjacks have beaten by 2 points or more are at least 5 points worth than Montana. Northern Arizona is coming off a win on Thursday over Montana State, but the Lumberjacks have traditionally struggled when they’ve had just 1 day or no days off between games. NAU is 38-18 ATS with 2 or more days off, but the Lumberjacks are only 14-26 ATS with 1 or less days off, including 4-20 ATS against an opponent coming off a win and 3-15 ATS against teams with winning records. All of Northern Arizona’s victories this season have come with 2 or more days off between games and I certainly don’t expect a suddenly thin Lumberjacks team to beat an underrated Montana squad that has won 6 consecutive games – 5 of those since point-guard Ceylon Elgin-Taylor returned to the rotation after missing 10 games. The Grizzlies struggled without Elgin-Taylor, but they’ve won 8 consecutive games when he has played. NAU by 2 ½ points would be a fair line using all games for both teams for the season, but Montana is better with their point guard back and Northern Arizona is now missing two starters, as top assist man Josh Wilson is out for the season with an injured foot and #2 scorer Matt Johnson (41% 3-pointers) has been dismissed from the team. Montana should be favored by a point in this game based on my calculations, and that doesn’t take into account Northern Arizona’s trouble with limited time to prepare and their inability to beat decent teams. I’ll take Montana in a 3-Star Best Bet at +1 or more and for 2-Stars at pick or -1.
