40 DIMER - VILLANOVA WILDCATS
20 DIMER - MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS

40 DIMER - VILLANOVA WILDCATS

I have listened all week long to everyone touting North Carolina as the winner of this tournament, but I say doubt Villanova at your own risk.

Villanova has already trashed a UCLA team that had been to the Final Four in the 2 previous Big Dances, then they crushed the # 2 seeded Duke Blue Devils from the ACC, and lastly handled the toughness of # 1 seeded Pitt in the last round.

That is an impressive resume, and the Wildcats do it with depth (8 of their players average 18 minutes per game), and experience (3 senior starters). Jay Wright's team is a tough bunch, and I expect them to handle the best shot the Tar Heels can throw at them, and still be within this rather roomy impost.

North Carolina may very well advance, but I don't think this one is going to be a blowout.

Wildcats plus the points as my 40 Dimer this Final Four Saturday.

20 DIMER - MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS

The barometer for this game is the Purdue-Connecticut matchup a few games back. In that one, the Boilers had plenty of opportunities to take the lead against the Huskies, but couldn't quite get over the hump due to their youth.

That is not the case in this Big 10-Big East battle from Ford Field in the early game. Michigan State is a little more experienced than the young Boilermakers, and you cannot underestimate the importance of the Spartans pretty much playing a home game in Detroit today. The crowd support will be huge.

Michigan State plays defense with the best of them, and they can match the Huskies on the boards as well.

The G-Man is highly impressed with the way the Spartans squelched Louisville to earn this Final Four berth. In that one, State held the Cards to only 52-points. If they can bring that type of game to this occsasion, there is a good chance Michigan State may pull the outright upset.

G-Man taking the points with Michigan State in this one.

Toronto Raptors at New York Knicks
Prediction: Toronto Raptors

Tough spot for New York. They're just 1-6 ATS as a favorite in their last seven tries. They may be less than 100% healthy for this one, also. Quentin Richardson and Larry Hughes are both listed as questionable with sprained ankles. But the main reason I'm siding with the Raptors is because of...the Raptors. Following back-to-back losses to Charlotte, Toronto came out on March 21 and said they're playing every game to win, rather than settle for the disappointing season they have incurred. Apparently, it was more than lip-service. The Raptors have won and covered five straight since March 22, by an average score of 112-to-100! The Knicks, meanwhile, look as though they're playing for the lottery. New York has dropped three straight and they're 1-9 in their last 10, overall. The Knicks have seemingly given up on the defensive end, allowing 110.2 ppg during the 10-game stretch. They have allowed their opponents to connect on 52.6% of their FGA in the nine losses. And it must be noted that a couple of those defeats came against the lowly Clippers and Kings. The Knicks have covered just 3 of their last 13 at home and I don't believe they should be favored in this one. I'll grab the points with the team that looks like they're still "in it to win it." The Raptors are my Saturday Afternoon Annihilator.

CappersJungle

20 Dimes Villanova
We should have released this pick when the line came out. It opened at +8 for us and we should have released it to our clients at that time. We are now sitting on a 7.5 number but anticipate it to drop even more This is going to come down to the team that has the ball last. Everyone is talking about the big upset in 1985 and how this team could do much of the same. I 100% agree here kids that it very well could happen. The world is on UNC to win this whole thing, and rightfully so. However today they will be on the court with two NBA prospects in Swayne Anderson and Dante Cunningham…. Oh ya we are also forgetting Mr. Reynolds who single handily ousted Pitt and their fans hopes from the tournament last week. Unc kids are going to be in a fight with this one this weekend, and while Mr. Lawson and company have had their minds and money at greektown I seem them unfocused and that my friends is going to cost them here. Two other big stats stick out for us on this one as well. The under is 9-2 in VILLA last 11 non-conference games, and that plays into our favor. An under will keep the score much more closer for us giving us the winning Saturday that everyone wants. Speaking of Saturday, Villanova just so happens to be 8 and 2 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games. Take Villanova to the bank at +7.5 for you 20 dime play from CappersJungle. Com. Sit back and enjoy the game.

10 Dime Uconn.
It’s a bit scary that we are betting on the same side as the public on Uconn on this one. We did the same last night with the Utah Jazz and got burned. History is however on our side in the one. Take a look at the trends that are going in our favor in this one. Uconn is 4-0 in, their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, in their last 4 NCAA Tournament games, in their last 4 neutral site games. Ok we won’t quite stop there yet, they are also 4 and 0, in their last 4 games when they are a favorite, when it’s a non conference game, and in their last 4 game overall. If there is one thing that Michigan State will struggle with its going to be the size of Uconn. Goran Suton has had a wonderful run in the ncaa tournament however I expect Uconn to attack him a bit more, this could lead to some foul trouble early and really ruin the game plan of Michigan State. I do also expect this to be a fast pace game and that 134 number to get passed with 2 to 3 min on the clock. We will be looking for a upper 140s game when this one is done. Cappersjungle.com is all over Aj Price and Hasheem Thabeet to advance to Mondays final game, 10 Dime Winner Uconn.
