BYU vs UNLV
After back to back tight games I expect a Big breakout game from the home side. Playing on their Home Floor is also a Big Bonus for the Running Rebels. Teams who play in dogfights seem to respond better in their next game.TAKE UNLV

St. Joseph's vs. Temple
St Joe's best player is the 6-10 Calathes (17.9-7.6), who had 24 points and eight rebounds in yesterday's win. The rest of the frontcourt is comprised of the 6-9 Nivens (14.3-5.7) and the 6-8 Ferguson, who combined to chip in 26 points against Xavier. The match up problems for St Joe's will come in the backcourt, as starting guards Carr (10.8-4.3) and Govens (9.7) were a combined 1-of-7 against Xavier, scoring just four points. Temple features two excellent big guards or swingmen, in Christmas (20.-2-6.1) and Tyndale (16.1-7.2). The rest of the starting lineup is made up of the 6-9 Allen (8.0-5.5), the 7-0 Olmos (5.8-3.6) and guard Guzman (4.1). While Guzman is the starter, guards Brooks (8.2) and Clark (7.6) actually get more playing minutes plus are bigger contributors. These longtime rivals met three times last year, with St Joe's winning all three games, including a 66-62 win in this tourney. During the regular season, St Joe's won the first matchup at Temple (68-67) and then Temple returned the favor by winning 57-56 at St Joe's. With st Joe's off its huge upset of Xavier, I see Temple, which is on a six-game winning streak (5-0-1 ATS), being in the better spot. Let's also note that while St Joe's is just 10-9 ATS in A-10 games this year (including this tourney), Temple is a very impressive 13-3-2 ATS in league play. Take the points with the Owls.
Priceless Picks
1 Unit on Phoenix Suns -8.5
The Suns have won 3 in a row SU and ATS and it appears that they have figured out how to adapt their style of play to the team they are playing - using a half court game to beat San Antonio and an uptempo style to beat the Warriors for example. It won't matter what they play against the Kings tonight as Phoenix is that much better. The Suns have won all 3 meetings this season, their last two by 16 and 15 points respectively. The Kings are just 8-18 ATS vs. division opponents over the last 2 seasons and Kings are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the Favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Kings are only 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings. Take the Suns at home.

Matchup: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Selection: Minnesota/Portland Over 190
Explanation: We expect a high-scoring game as the Minnesota Timberwolves face-off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Saturday's College Basketball contest.
Both these teams have been struggling on the defensive end as of late. The Minnesota Timberwolves (in their last 5 games) are allowing opponents to score an average of 103.2 points per game, while the Portland Trail Blazers (in their last 5 games) are allowing opponents to score an average of 99 points per game. This poor defensive playing should continue tonight which would mean many points are going to be scored.
These teams have a history of high-scoring games in their meetings. In fact, the Over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between these teams.
Take the Minnesota Timberwolves/Portland Trail Blazers Over 190!

Selection: Utah Jazz -4
Reason: Put us down on the Utah Jazz -4 for our Free NBA Selection on Saturday. We see the Utah Jazz (44-23 record) being able to beat a poor New Jersey Nets (27-38 record) team. The Utah Jazz should be able to control this game with their superior offense. This says it all... The Utah Jazz are scoring an average of 106.2 points per game, while the New Jersey Nets are scoring an average of only 93.8 points per game. That means the Utah Jazz offense is scoring an average of 12.4 points per game more then the New Jersey Nets offense. These teams already meet once this season at Utah. In that game, the Utah Jazz beat the New Jersey Nets by 27 points. This time around the game will be played in New Jersey, however, the Utah Jazz still should be able to get another SU and ATS win! Lay the points! Take the Utah Jazz -4
