Texas at KANSAS -8

The Jayhawks are looking for their 41st straight win at home and there's just no way Texas has enough talent or will this late in the season to go into Allen Fieldhouse and even keep this one close. Play Kansas and watch as they win this one by 15.

Plus, the Jayhawks are embarassed after Wednesday's ugly loss at Texas Tech, losing 84-65 in Lubbock as 10-point road favorites. The loss ended their five-game winning streak and their 7-0-1 ATS run. They had been averaging more than 80 points per game and giving up 64.6 per contest before that ugly game Wednesday.

Now they get a chance to redeem themselves as the Jayhawks are 17-0 at home this season and a profitable 10-1-1 ATS in front of the home faithful.

Texas is not much of a road team, losing three of its last four on the highway and going 0-4 ATS. Kansas has won four of the last five against Texas, including an 84-74 win as a 5 1/2-point favorite in last year's Big 12 title tilt.

The 'Horns are just 5-11 ATS in their last 16, 6-14-1 in Big 12 play and 0-5 after a straight-up win. Kansas is 16-5-1 in conference action, 17-6-1 ATS overall and 37-16-1 ATS against teams with winning records.

Kansas gets this one with ease. Play the Jayhawks.

Missouri -1' at TEXAS A&M

Easy FREE winner Friday night with Notre Dame as the Irish crushed St. John's. Today we've got another comp winner for you as we play Missouri to get the win and cover over Texas A&M in Big 12 play.

Some people think Texas A&M is starting to surge with this recent five-game winning streak, but I think the Aggies have just come off their weakest part of the Big 12 schedule. Tonight they'll be given a big dose of reality as Missouri comes in and delivers a punishing 10 points win, at least.

Texas A&M has beaten the bottom-feeders of the conference, including Colorado, Iowa State, Nebraska and Texas Tech. Their one good win as a home blowout of Texas, but otherwise, these other four teams are not very good.

Missouri comes into this one having won eight of its last nine and they just got a huge win over Oklahoma on Wednesday, 73-64 as four-point home favorites and wrapping up a perfect home record this season. Now the Tigers are wanting to finish strong with this road win and they have won three of their last four conference roadies SU and ATS.

Don't kid yourself with Texas A&M. Missouri is the better team and they are 6-2 ATS in their last eight against teams with a winning record and 4-0 ATS as a favorite. Play the Tigers tonight and you'll see them deliver a big dose of reality to the Aggies.

Colorado at KANSAS STATE -17

We are on a 20-10-2 comp play run our last 32 releases!

Today we will eat the big chalk in Manhattan, as we look for Kansas State to make a final statement before heading off to the Big 12 tournament.

The Wildcats are just 3-3 their last 6, and 0-4-1 against the spread in those games, and while today's price may seem a little steep, we don't feel it is steep at all, as the 'Cats sure could use a romp to impress the Big Dance tournament committee one final time.

Colorado is the perfect foil, as the Buffs have lost 10 straight, while failing 3 of their last 4 against the spread.

Colorado did come close to upsetting Kansas State back on January 24th, as they lost by just a basket in overtime. Still, the Buffaloes are 0-6 straight up the last 6 series meetings, and just 1-7 the last 8, while failing 6 of those 8 against the spread.

We say "lay it" in a big way today in the Big 12.

Play on the Wildcats.

Drew Gordon

Minnesota at PORTLAND -13

Now FIVE straight Free Play winners with Cornell absolutely hammering Penn last night 83-58! We turn our attention to the pro Hardwood, as we get ready to lay it with the Blazers...

Laying this many with Portland, has Gordon gone crazy? Nope, in fact, this will be the only NBA game I play today, and I fully expect the Blazers to wipe the floor with Minnesota in this one, and here's why:

First off, did you see their last meeting? Blazers dominated the 'Wolves 102-82 at the Target Center, and really what has changed since then?! Minnesota has lost 8 straight games (1-7 ATS), and continues to flounder since the loss of star F Al Jefferson. In their last meeting, we saw this 'Wolves team win the battle of the boards, but other than that, they shot poorly (33%) AND forced only FOUR turnovers (ugly man ugly)... It ain't gonna get any easier on the road!

Sorry Minny-backers, but getting ZERO production from two starting positions, like you did against the Lakers (Mike Miller and Jason Collins 0 points) just isn't going to cut it tonight on the road! While I agree Portland's loss to Denver in their last one was lopsided, you better believe a nice trip back to the Rose Garden is exactly what this team needs! Blazers defense at home is excellent, and more than capable of shutting down a tired 'Wolves team that could really care less.

Speaking of tired, the 'Wolves got crushed by the Lakers last night, in a game they once again forced only FOUR turnovers! More of the same tonight, as tired legs make for even worse defense, and the fact Minny is allowing 111 ppg over their last 5 games, should immediately tell you about their effort (which is next-to-nothing).

Bottom line, big-time bounce back for this Portland team, as they hand the 'Wolves their second blowout loss in a little over a week! Blazers not only match up well, but situationally should be the fresher team, playing on friendly rims, which all points to a lopsided home win & cover in this one. Blazers roll!

Take Portland over Minnesota in this NBA match up.

VEGAS EXPERTS

Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavs

We start with the fact that Cleveland is the ONLY team in the league thus far not to have lost back to back games. Then there is the fact that they have lost just one home game straight up. That takes care of the SU result, but what about laying all these points? No problem! The Cavs are a stunning 11-0 ATS off a road loss this season, not to mention have covered 75% of their home games anyway. Revenge angle for the Heat is overplayed. Lay the points.

Play on: Cleveland

Texas vs. Kansas
Play: Kansas -8

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Kansas as they host Texas slated to start at 4:00 EST. Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 35-12 ATS for 75% winners since 1997. Play on favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points that are good 3PT shooting teams hitting >=36.5% facing a poor 3PT shooting team allowing =+6 reb/game facing a decent rebounding team +3 to +6 reb/game. Kansas is a perfect 9-0 ATS (+9.0 Units) versus good defensive teams allowing a shooting percentage defense of <=42% after 15+ games this season; 11-0 ATS (+11.0 Units) versus good teams - outscoring their opponents by 4+ points/game after 15+ games this season. Take Kansas.

LARRY NESS

Texas Tech @ Iowa State
PICK: Iowa State

Iowa St is just 3-12 in the Big 12 and 14-16 overall. The Cyclones rely way too much on the 6-10 Brackins (20.0-9.2) and laying points with them is always somewhat dangerous. However, there is a time and a place for everything. Here's a case when playing the Cyclones makes sense. The Texas Tech Red Raiders enter this game off Wednesday's shocking 84-65 home win over No. 9 Kansas. It was Senior Night and senior guard Voskuil (14.5-4.0) led the Red Raiders with a career-high 35 points, as Tech made 15-of-27 threes. The win snapped Tech's six-game losing streak and was also just the team's SECOND win in its last 15 games, overall. Tech will take an 0-10 record in "true" road games this season into this afternoon's game, coming off it's "high point" of the season. As I stated at the top, there's a time and place for everything. Here, it's the time and place to lay the points with Iowa State.

Jimmy Boyd

1 Unit on Rutgers -3.5

Rutgers is very hungry for a win and I like the Scarlet Knights in this last home game spot against a USF team which set itself up for a letdown with a win over Cincy last game. USF is just 1-12 in true road games and those road struggles will be on display here. The Favorite is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the Bulls are 3-14 ATS in their last 17 games as an underdog of 6.5 or less. Lay the points.

Erik Scheponik

Connecticut vs. Pittsburgh
Play: Over 140

The Panthers are the nation's most efficient offensive club, led by crafty senior PG Fields. They can hurt you inside or outside and during most of the game all 5 players on the floor find the open man very well. Both teams, especially UConn are solid defensively, but better offensively with multiple scoring threats. Jim Calhoun made postgame comments after first meeting suggesting that the whistle was a little too loose, and I think we will see alot of FT attempts here, based on his own team answering the bell by being more physical, and the officials not wanting this one to turn into a football game as the intensity will be extremely high. Neither team afraid of a fast pace either. Pitt 75-73. Play OVER the total

KANSAS (-) over Texas

Even though Kansas will be the No. 1 seed when the Big 12 Tournament tips off next week, the Jayhawks certainly didn't play like it when they dropped an 84-65 decision at Texas Tech on Wednesday night. KU head coach Bill Self wasn't happy with his team's performance and he'll have Rock-Chalk-Jayhawk ready to roll in this Senior Night setting.

No one closes better than Kansas. Aside from the fact that the Jayhawks have won 40 straight in Allen Fieldhouse, KU has been a monster in last home games too. Kansas has won 25 consecutive final home games and they're not about to let Texas break either of those two awesome streaks.

Dating back to the start of the 2005 season, Kansas has been one of the best teams in college basketball posting a strong 119-22 SU and 74-52-3 ATS record. In this role matched up against an opponent that enters off a blowout win of 10 points or more, the Jayhawks improve to a bookie busting 24-11-1 ATS. Finally, with those two parameters combined and KU owning a won/loss percentage less than .860, this team trend explodes to a phenomenal 15-2 ATS! Kansas applies to all three pieces of this angle on Saturday afternoon.

As a guest battling a foe that owns a won/loss percentage greater than .750, Texas is a soft 14-25-2 ATS provided the Longhorns enter off a straight up win. Matched up against a Jayhawks defense that currently leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage (38.4) and rebound margin (+7.6), the 'Horns are going to be in trouble. Lay the lumber here men. Take Kansas.

Auburn -1.5 vs LSU

I would have been much more happy to play this game had the visiting Tigers not stubbed their toe the last time on the court. They are a very good basketball team and squads such as them have a way of circling the wagons and performing after an effort like that. But do they need to circle to wagons? Can they circle the wagons? Aren't the Auburn wagons already circled? Looking at recent play we discover a couple of things right off the bat. The first is that LSU has been winning a lot of games, but they have not done so in impressive fashion. Just 2-4 ATS the last 6 played, losing to Vandy on their homecourt, squeeking out wins verses Ole Miss, Arkansas, this Auburn team. Defense has been very spotty and it appears as though they are in "Coast Mode." That is not the case for the home team that is Bubbling right now and in more than one way. Auburn has now covered their last 8 straight, they are playing extraordinary defense, allowing just 37% shooting over during this stretch, and they are hitting the boards with ferver. They lost at LSU by just 7 points earlier this year, and that was not very long ago. "Memories, like the corners of my mind." Great Barbara Streisand song and in effect for this contest today. A Star is Born, and they are the Auburn Tigers. The line has drifted downward and even more playable than before. I don't remember many Westerns when Circling the Wagons did not work. Those Indians hated that! PLAY AUBURN.

Mississippi -2.5

State rivals collide for the second time this season when the Bulldogs and Rebels meet today. Ole Miss won the season's first meeting as a 9.5-point dog at Mississippi State, 67-63, on 1/31/09. I don't think that win was a fluke and I also don't see the Bulldogs getting revenge today.

I know the Bulldogs beat Florida in their last game, but that was at home and Florida had lost four of their last six going into that game. The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU win, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 6.5 or less.

Throw out Ole Miss' last home game in which they were blown out by Alabama. The Rebels were short-handed due to illnesses and injuries. Looking at their previous home games, we see wins by 22 over Georgia, 16 over Tennessee, 19 over Auburn, and 5 over Kentucky.

The Rebels are coming off a rare road win at Arkansas, so they should be pretty pumped up for their final home game of the season. Ole Miss is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 vs. SEC rivals, 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games vs. a team with a winning SU record, and 31-14-1 ATS in their last 46 games as a home favorite of 6.5 or less.

Add in the fact that the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings and I'll lay the small number with Ole Miss in this one.
