3-Unit Play Take LA Lakers -4 Over Phoenix

The Suns have got some wins over the scrub teams in the NBA recently but when they face top-flight competition like they do this afternoon the loss of Amare Stoudemire really hurts. They were blown out of the water by 20+ points by both the Lakers and Celtics this week. Steve Nash is still hobbled and listed as questionable for this game and we think this could be another blowout if he doesn’t play a major role here. The Lakers have owned this series lately ATS, cashing in six of the last eight meetings. The Lakers are also playing very well on the road lately, cashing in eight of their last 11 contests.

3-Unit Play Take Cleveland/Atlanta UNDER 190

Cleveland has been playing even better than normal defense lately and they have held their last four opponents to a 84 PPG average. That does not bode well for the Hawks having a big offensive game tonight – they tend to struggle to put up points against the top defenses in the league. The Hawks play pretty good D at home as well, as they give up an average of just 95 PPG. Cleveland allows 92 PPG on the road and have been money for under backers on the road this season (18-12) .

3-Unit Play Take Utah/Golden State UNDER 226 ½

The Warriors have a laundry list of players on tonight’s injury report and we think that will affect their offense tonight – as well as the fact that the Jazz have been playing great defense lately. Utah has held four of their last five opponents in the 80s and have allowed an average of only 91 PPG during that span. These two teams met early last month and the total didn’t even get close to 220, and the Jazz are playing better on D now so we think this one should wind up in the mid-to-high-210s.

4 Unit Play. Take Illinois -1 over Michigan State

Glad we were able to secure winning week 6 of 8 in cbb yesterday as Purdue was able to get it done relatively easiliy over Ohio State. Hopefully today's selection will be just as easy. I love the Big10 as it is my favorite conference for College Basketball ATS and I think Michigan State is simply not playing its prime basketball right now. If Michigan State thought they had a tough time in Purdue getting crushed by double-digits, they are going to have their hands full with an Illinois team that was leading Outright at Michigan State earlier this year. Remember, we were on Illinois when they were at Mich. State earlier this year and it cashed nicely for us as they fell inside the number losing by 6 points. Illinois is the same team that beat Purdue at home by 18 points and they can certainly take care of Michigan State with that same revenge. Also, look at the fact that Michigan State after getting thumped at Purdue by 18 came back home to beat Wisconsin by just 11 and then beat Iowa at home by just 8. Frankly, the Spartans have not been all that impressive of late and if they lost to the third best team in the conference in Purdue on the road by 18, barely beat this Illinois team the first time around, with calls going the way of Illinois a bit with the home crowd, there is certainly no reason why Illinois cannot cover this generous spread here. Note, that St. Peter has their Senior night today and should do well too, but let's take the better team in Illinois who has been kind to us all year long at home as they are a 71% free throw shooting team and with a sound defense and a strong presence in the first and second half today, they should get it done over the Spartans - a team they nearly beat on the road and were leading Outright at Michigan State earlier this year. The Illini are 15-6-1 ATS when facing a team with a winning % of greater than 60% meaning they show up against the better teams in the country, 6-2 ATS as a small favorite and Michigan State is 5-11-1 ATS as a road underdog of 0.5 to 6.5 points.

4 Unit Play. Take the Indiana Pacers +2 over the Denver Nuggets

Glad we were able to cash with the Bulls yesterday in a improbable comeback as we secure a winning month with +13 units of total profit. Let's go with Indiana at home today as they face a Nugget team that comes off a huge win over the Lakers. In short, I think the Nuggs have a let down here as bear in mind, this is the same team that Milwaukee, Chicago and even lost to the Nets on the road by 44 points. You don't think they can lose to a Pacer team who beat the Cavs, Lakers, Magic and company at home? Heck, this Pacers team Chicago, Philly and Cleveland all at home without the likes of Granger and Dunleavy. The Pacers in Indiana can make anything happen as they continue to make upset after upset at home and they can do it again here. The Pacers have covered 4 of 5, they have revenge here against the Nuggets who are in a prime spot for a let down as the public gets buried with 70% on Denver, Indiana plays hard from start to finish, is a disciplined team that gets to the free throw line and heck nearly Boston at Boston just in their last game as they return home off a loss. Ford, Jack and Murphy get it done as the public gets buried, but we likely get the cash. Do not trust this Nuggets team as they are 1-4 ATS following a SU win of 10 points or more while the Pacers are 6-0 ATS as home dogs and 8-2 vs. teams with winning % of 60% or more.
