TEMPLE vs. XAVIER

Xavier is currently leading the Atlantic 10 and the Musketeers look for their 11th straight victory overall and 21st consecutive conference win at the Cintas Center tonight against a Temple team that has defeated them in three of the last four meetings. No. 9 Xavier (19-2) is wrapping up a three-game homestand following Saturday's 82-80 win over Massachusetts. Junior forward Derrick Brown tied a career high with 23 points as the Musketeers improved to 7-0 in conference after a tough game that took a rebound from C.J. Anderson in the final seconds to seal the game. B.J. Raymond scored 20 or more points for the third straight game on Saturday with 22. Raymond is shooting 63.2 percent (12-of-19) from 3-point range during this stretch and was named A-10 Player of the Week for the second time this season although he missed all seven shots ehen they lost to Temple last season. Freshman Terrell Holloway left with a sprained foot in the second half on Saturday and committed five turnovers. Holloway was limited to just one assist in 17 minutes after Luke Bonner fell on his left foot midway through the first half. Holloway started every game during the winning streak and is averaging 6.5 points and 2.4 assists overall. He is day by day but they are optimistic he can return tonight although he won"t be at 100 percent. Temple (12-8, 4-2) arrives in Cincinnati tonight following a 74-65 victory over Richmond on Saturday. The Owls won their seventh in nine games as five players scored in double figures for just the second time this season. Semaj Inge had 19 points and Dionte Christmas posted a double-double with 17 and a career-high 13 boards as Temple had a season-high 58 second-half points following a season-worst 16 in the opening 20 minutes. Scoring could be a challenge against a Xavier team that is eighth in the nation in field goal defense at 37.4 percent. This is always a hard fought conference game for both teams and with Xaviers point guard not playing at a 100 percentage, Temple will present a real challenge to them tonight and has a chance to win outright. TAKE TEMPLE+8 1/2

Penn State vs. Michigan
Play: Michigan -4

The Nittany lions are just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road dog of +0.5 to +6.5 points and the Wolverines are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games. The Wolverines have out-scored their opponents by an average of 13 ppg at home this season and Michigan seeks revenge tonight against a Nittany Lions team that beat them on the road by 15 points back on January.20. On the injury front Michigan Guards - Manny Harris and Zack Novak are supposed to both be active for tonight's home game against Penn State. The Home team is 7-0-1 ATS in the last 8 games between these two teams and Michigan is a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games against the Penn State. Take Michigan as my NCAAB Free Play for Thursday night and make sure you get on my NCAAB Slam Dunk along with my NBA TNT Bookie Buster of the Week as my 75% NBA Run continues.

Jimmy Boyd

1 Unit on Michigan -3.5

Michigan needs this one badly, having lost 5 of 6. It is worth noting that 4 of those losses have come on the road where Michigan has really struggled this season, but Big Blue is back at home tonight where it is 11-2 on the season. One of those road losses was to Penn State by 15 points and Michigan will be out for a little revenge at home tonight. Michigan is 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in its last 9 home games against the Nittany Lions. The Favorite is 5-0-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings, the Home team is 7-0-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings, and the Nittany Lions are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Michigan. The Nittany Lions are also 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 6.5 points or less. The Wolverines are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games. Take Michigan in this bounce back spot.

Pregame.com over/under play of the day

Illinois: The Illini have had a rough time on the road lately, dropping three straight away from home following their worst offensive performance since 1985 in a 59-36 loss at Minnesota a week ago. They rebounded with a 62-54 win over Iowa at home on Sunday, and head coach Bruce Weber believes his team will be in the right mindset to end the road skid at Madison. “You feel as low as you can feel,” Weber said after losing to the Golden Gophers. “It’s a humbler, that’s for sure. If it isn’t, we’re in trouble.”

PROJECTED SCORE: 57 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)
Illinois is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 Thursday games.

The UNDER is 5-1 in Illinois' last 6 games overall.

Wisconsin (-3, O/U 121): The Badgers are struggling through their worst losing streak in over a decade and now face the possibility of losing three in a row at home for the first time since the first month they started playing in the Kohl Center. Wisconsin has lost its last two home games by a combined four points, and the team's last three road losses have been decided by 4.7 points.

PROJECTED SCORE: 60 Home team is 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

The UNDER is 6-2 in Wisconsin's last 8 Thursday game

Georgia Tech pulled the upset Saturday when they caught Wake Forest in a post-Duke letdown, and they are now catching Florida State off of an emotional game vs. UNC.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets won their first conference game of the season by upsetting Wake Forest on Saturday, and we they may of may not beat the Florida State Seminoles outright tonight, we do expect them to take this game down to the wire.
Georgia Tech was off to an 0-6 start in the ACC before shocking the Demon Deacons, and they were a bit fortunate to be catching Wake Forest in a post-Duke letdown situation. The thing is, the Yellow Jackets may be in a similarly fortunate situation tonight!

You see, Florida State is coming off of an emotional game here at home vs. North Carolina where the Seminoles played their hearts out, only to fall just short in an 80-77 loss as 11-point underdogs. It seems virtually impossible for them to be able to match that kind of intensity here, so a lethargic effort seems inevitable, especially in the first half.

Besides, it is not as if the Jackets do not have any merit here despite their poor conference record, especially on the defensive end. According to the Pomeroy Ratings, the Georgia Tech defense ranks in the Top 40 in adjusted defensive efficiency, effective field goal percentage allowed and two-point field goal percentage allowed, and they also rank highly in blocks.

We look for that defense to contain a rather disinterested Noles team here en route to the cover.

Georgia Tech +8½ (-110)
