100 Dime College Hoops Trio Game

Providence (159) at Villanova (-10')

Villanova has won six straight over Providence and with a chance to win 25 games for the first time since 1951, as well as gain the Big East’s double-bye for the upcoming tournament, the Wildcats will come big tonight in this home win and cover. The Friars are just pretenders despite their home upset of Pitt last week. On the road, they’ve lost by 33 at UConn, by 27 at West Virginia and by 18 at Louisville. They haven’t beaten Nova since February 2004 and are facing a streaking Nova team that has won four of five after Monday’s 17-point win at Notre Dame. The Cats know they need this one if they want the conference tournament’s coveted double-bye (the top four teams get em) and Scottie Reynolds and the Cats will bring the full force in rolling tonight.

VILLANOVA (-10') 100 Dimes

Tennessee (+2) at South Carolina (158')

Tennessee has won four straight meetings in this series and fresh from a big win at Florida, the Big Orange will keep it rolling with this outright win tonight in Columbia. The Gamecocks just aren’t going to get much scoring outside of Zam Frederick and Devan Downey. South Carolina needs to force a buddle of turnovers to win, but I like how well the Vols have protected the ball the past two games with just six turnovers in the win over the Gators and 10 in the previous win over Mississippi State. Vandy shot 50% from behind the arc in beating South Carolina last game and the Vols will be connecting from the outside tonight while Wayne Chism and Tyler Smith will get theirs inside. South Carolina is on a 1-4-1 ATS slide while Tennessee has won four of its last six straight-up. Bruce Pearl’s club is beginning to pull it together and the Vols will steal this one tonight.

TENNESSEE (+2) 100 Dimes

Illinois (117') at Penn State (+1')

Penn State has covered five straight over Illinois including a five-point win in Champaign three weeks ago and the Nittany Lions will win this one outright tonight in State College. Just can’t trust this Illinois offense that struggles to score on the road and was limited to just 33 points in the season’s first meeting. The Nittany’s have won straight-up seven of their last 11 and this team is doing all it can to get into the Big Dance. A win over a nationally ranked team in March would help their chances and if they can win out they’ll secure the third seed in the upcoming Big Ten tournament. Talor Battle, the league’s second-leading scorer will play well and Penn State will win this one outright.

PENN STATE (+1') 100 Dimes

Jay " JR " Wright

Wichita State -3.5

Note: Shockers are 13-3 SU this season at home. Mizz State just 2-11 in road play this season and 3-15 in MVC play. They're done. Play the better team in the blowout in Wichita State.

New Orleans Hornets -6

Note: Mavs off a late night home win last night over rival San Antonio. Tough to come back and travel the next night and win. Hornets have won 5 in a row and have had 2 days off to prepare for this big TNT game. Roll with CP3 and the hometeam who have won 3 in a row over the Mavs and 5 of the last 6 in the series.

South Carolina -1.5

Note: Cocks are 16-1 SU at home this season and 7-1 ATS last 8 on Thursday games. They've covered 4 of the last 6 in the series as well. South Carolina winners of 2 of last 3 overall. Play the short line and watch the public go down on the Vols.
