Jack Clayton Guaranteed Selections

5* Brewers/Giants over

Regardless of how the Giants got to do it, they were thrilled with the opener, a 10-6 victory against Milwaukee on Tuesday that ended their Opening Day. Both these teams are not stellar in the field, which hurts the pitching staff. Now we are into Game No. 3, so the starting pitching is dropping off quickly. Starter Manny Parra for the Brewers is not very good, allowing 181 hits in 166 inning last season. His 5.32 second-half ERA was bad, and teams hit 372 on him in the second-half on balls in play. He wasn't bad at home, but was 4-5 on the road with a 5.70 ERA as teams hit over .300 off him. San Fran starter Matt Cain needs to do two things - lose some weight and stop allowing free passes. Last season he walked 59 batters in 120 innings at home -- a terrible ratio. This total is too low with these two on the hill, and suspect pens. Play the Brewers/Giants over the total.
