Auburn has had the luxury of playing all 3 of their NIT games at home this postseason, while Baylor had to play at Virginia Tech on Saturday morning at 11am eastern, and while they did blow out the host Hokies, expect the road to catch them here, as the Tigers have been mighty tough on their home floor this year.
Auburn is now 18-3 straight up at home this year, and a money-turning 11-3 against the spread at home thus far, covering 7 of their last 8 as the host!
Hard to buck those numbers, so I won't!

Houston has won 4 straight entering Utah tonight, while the Jazz have struggled against the spread lately, going 1-4 their last 5, and 3-6 against the spread their last 9 games overall.
Prefer to stick with the trends in this one, and look for Houston to continue the road/dog-oriented nunbers.

Both the Rockets and Jazz have tightened up their defense as of late, with the two teams meeting up for the final time in the regular season. The home team has won each of the first three matchups, as Utah knocked off Houston in Salt Lake earlier this month, with the game finishing UNDER the total. The Jazz have gone UNDER the total in eight of their last ten games, with each of their last seven at home going below the total, while only one of those home games have eclipsed tonight's total. All four of Houston's road games this month have finished UNDER the total, with low-scoring victories at San Antonio, Charlotte, New Orleans, and Denver. Yeah, I know, “why the hell is Ferringo releasing a 0.5-Unit play?” Well, it’s because I like the situation but with only two games on the board it isn’t like we’re going to fool the oddsmakers. It’s not like they have left the door completely open with this line so it's only worth a dabble. Bottom line: there are a couple weak lines in the Sweet 16 games. But March is just not like Nov. or Dec. where you can find some joke lines to beat. The oddsmakers are on point this time of year and you are essentially going straight-up against the lines. Those aren't the highest value situations so they don't demand regular-sized plays.
But at the same time, I think that the line is at least 3.5 points soft. I originally was going to be dark for today, but this line is just too tantalizing. Penn State is 4-1 ATS as an underdog of 7.0 or more this year and they have managed outright wins at Michigan State and at Illinois. Guys like Jermelle Cornley are all heart and they aren’t going to give up anything. Florida is coming off a blowout win over Miami. But that game was completely different because of the in-state rivalry factor. If you also add in the fact that the Gators may be looking ahead to a trip to New York City (if they win) then you have the makings of a postseason Letdown/Look Ahead situation. Florida doesn’t play any defense and they are just 2-6 ATS against the Big 10. So for all of those reasons it’s worth a (very) small play.

4 Unit Play.Take Edmonton +135 over Detroit
Detroit comes to Edmonton after losing 5-3 last night in Calgary in what was another bad night for Detroit goalies. The Oilers came home after a quick three game road trip that closed out with a shutout loss to the Wild, now Edmonton gets one of the NHL best on home a team they have played and lost to three times this year including a 8-3 in Detroit back in early February. Detroit goaltending meltdowns have happen a few times in the last month and while backup goalie Ty Conklin was and is scheduled to start tonight it has to make a team even of the Red Wings caliber tense up a little bit. Edmonton is in full desperate mode for the playoffs while on the other Detroit is fighting for the top spot in the west which from what I read they don't seem to think it matters if their one or two in the west. The building will be packed and I think this is a nice spot for the small home but dangerous puppy
2 Unit Play.Take Nashville -135 over Anaheim
These two teams meet last week in Anaheim with the Ducks coming away with a 4-3 overtime win. The Ducks looking for their for win in a row head to Nashville for a big time battle for the playoffs as Anaheim trails Nashville for that last spot separated by just one point. I like how Nashville has played of a tough west coast trip grabbing six of a possible 8 points. I think that showing tells a lot about this time to go across the country and step up when they needed to do so. I really like how this team has been playing they have gotten big time goaltending and they're one of the better defensive teams in the NHL and I think they will step up and get the job done on home Ice tonight.
