20 DIMER - PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS
10 DIMER - CUBS (Dempster over Rodriguez)

20 DIMER - PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

Portland had their 4-game win and cover streak snapped on Sunday at Houston, and now they must deal with the streaking Grizzlies who have won and covered their last 4, and 5 of 6. Easily the best stretch of a lost season for Memphis, but that streak is coming to a halt in a big way tonight.

Portland has to deal with San Antonio, and the Lakers over their next pair of games, so they better take advantage against a Memphis team that is still 22-54 on the year despite their 4 game uptick.

The Blazers have won the last 6 in the series, and have covered in 5 of those 6. Make it 7 straight, and 6 of 7 against the line.

Take Portland.

10 DIMER - CHICAGO CUBS (Dempster over Rodriguez)

Looks to the G-Man as if the Chicago Cubs are once again the team to beat in the NL Central Divison, as Chicago looked strong in taking the season opener 4-2 last night.

I will ride Ryan Dempster laying the road wood in this one, as Chicago gets it done for a second night in a row at Minute Maid Park.

Most of Ryan Dempster's success last season did come at Wrigley, but he did work 8 scoreless at Houston last August in a win, and his road ERA last year was just a tad over 3.

Houston could not do much on offense last night, and they won't do much on offense tonight.

Take the Cubs.

NEW YORK KNICKS at CHICAGO BULLS

The New York Knicks are along with the Indiana Pacers, definately a team that plays to the level of the competition. They lose when you expect them to win, as they are 1-7 against the spread in their last 8 as a favorite, while on the season they have been tops as a dog where they are 35-18 ATS. That includes 23-11 on the road, nd that includes 9-4 ATS on the road as a dog vs a team with a losing. record. The Knicks have covered every game on the road as a 7.5 or higher dog since before Christmas, at 9-0. Knicks do it again, and get the money.

25* East Conf Game of the YEAR!

Play on Chicago - 8

Aft first, this probably looked like an overlay to you. After all, this will be just the eighth time this season Chicago has been favored by eight or more points. They are just 2-5 ATS to date in that role. However, the Bulls were favored by eight last time out and did manage to cover against New Jersey. This game sets up even better. While Chicago (winners of 8 of its last 11) is playing its best ball of the season, New York is playing some of its worst. Yes, the Knicks come off a SU dog win over Toronto, but they had lost 10 of their previous 11 before that. Bulls have revenge from a four-point loss in MSG back in January. They have actually failed to cover three straight times vs. New York, giving us that "just due" factor. Most importantly, the Knicks are back to playing no defense as they are allowing a conference worst 108.2 PPG. Chicago has covered 11 of its last 14 home games. Before the New Jersey win, they had shot 50% or better in four straight games and seven of its last nine. Against such a bad defensive club like the Knicks, look for the hot shooting to continue. Chicago is our 25* Eastern Conference Game of the Year.
