*MINNESOTA over Illinois...With Minnesota requiring every home win to keep fading NCAA at-large hopes alive, willing to buck floundering Illinois, showing no discernable progress, based on 83-75 home setback vs. youthful Purdue Feb. 2; Illini hit brickish 3 of 16 treys, committed 18 TOs & had only 8 assists. Tubby’s relentless fullcourt presses help ignite transition game vs. unsteady Illinois backcourt, and Weber’s squad unable to cut anticipated deficit by converting Big-10 worst 31% from arc. Double revenge works for motivated Gophers, who lead loop in key TO margin. *MINNESOTA 78 - Illinois 65 RATING - 11

Al McMordie

Boston Celtics at Indiana Pacers

At 7:05 pm, our member selection is on the Indiana Pacers plus the points over Boston. Since January 2005, the San Antonio Spurs have been the best team in the NBA, and have won two championships in that span. San Antone has a record of 182-74 in that span, so it is rare that a team defeats the Spurs. Not surprisingly, off a win over Tim Duncan & Co., teams suffer a letdown in their next game, and are a poor 27-42-4 ATS since January 17, 2005, including 20-40 ATS if their foe is NOT off back-to-back SU/ATS losses. The Celtics upended S.A. on Sunday 98-90 and they are 5-2 without Kevin Garnett in the lineup over their past seven games. But tonight's game against Indiana will be tough. The Pacers have not had a good season, but do come into tonight's game off back-to-back wins and covers.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Play: Montreal Canadiens

1 Unit, Take Montreal -111, Montreal is 16-6 after allowing 4 goals or more and they are 8-4 on the road when the posted total is 6 or more this season. Montreal's powerplay is on fire converting at 29.2% over their past 5 games and 24.3% on the road this season. Montreal is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Lightning and 8-3 against them the last 3 seasons. Montreal bounces back Tuesday night at a great price so take them as my free play for Tuesday.

Nelly
UW-Milwaukee + over Butler

UW-Milwaukee enters Tuesday's big game coming off back-to-back losses but the Panthers have been a very tough team at home, winning each of the last five home games and still without a home loss in conference play. The Panthers would likely have a stronger conference record than the current 7-5 mark but the schedule has sent UW-M on the road for eight of those twelve games. A strong finish should be expected with five of the final seven regular season games at home. Butler has established itself as the top team in the Horizon but the Bulldogs are facing a third consecutive road game Tuesday night. This looks like a good opportunity for UW-M to avenge a loss in Indianapolis just a month ago. Last season Butler struggled for a narrow win in this building and another close game is anticipated as the situation favors a strong effort from the Panthers.

James Patrick
Pistons vs .Hawks

Atlanta seemingly plays up or down to the competition and they have their work cut out in this game as the Pistons are clicking at the moment. We are using our Tuesday NBA complimentary selection on #702 Atlanta Hawks as this is their final home game before a road trip departure. Hawks flying high in Atlanta.

Marc Lawrence
Play On: Virginia

Note: Cavs host the Tar Heels with North Carolina coming in off a double overtime win and cover over Clemson on Sunday. To complicate matters, if playing two days after a double OT contest isn't difficult enough, today's game marks the 3rd game in six days for UNC. Meanwhile, Virginia returns home off a previous home loss, a role in which they shine, going 23-5 SU, including 4-0 SU & ATS as a dog of 6 or more points. With the Cavs currently 11-4 ATS when playing with revenge in this series, including 7-0 ATS when Carolina is off a win of 7 or more points, we'll take the points in a game where an upset would be no surprise.

Jimmy The Moose

Game: Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins
Prediction: Carolina Hurricanes

Reason: Both team's come into this one having lost 3 of their last 4 games. The Carolina Hirricanes currently sit in 10th spot in the Eastern Conference but a win moves them into top spot in their division and the #3 seed in the East. The Hurricanes have won 5 of the last 6 meetings between the clubs. Carolina is a money making 16-5-1 in their last 22 trips to Boston. Take the visiting Hurricanes to come out on top in this one.

Sacramento vs. Memphis
Take Sacramento Kings

1* on Sacramento Kings -5 Sacramento will continue to pound the Memphis Grizzlies just as the rest of the NBA has been doing as of late. Memphis has lost 8 out of their last 9 games overall. The Grizzlies are really hurting now that Pau Gasol is wearing a Lakers’ uniform. Sacramento is a playoff caliber team in the west now that everyone is healthy with Mike Bibby, Kevin Martin and Ron Artest leading the way. Sacramento has won 34 out of their last 43 match-ups with Memphis. The Grizzlies are giving up 107 points per game at home this season. This is why Memphis is 1-8 ATS as a home underdog of 6 points or less this season. Take Sacramento and lay the points.

Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt
Take Kentucky Wildcats

1 Unit on Kentucky +4 The Kentucky Wildcats are on the outside looking in when it comes to the NCAA Tournament. Vanderbilt already has a tournament birth pretty much locked up despite a monumental collapse to end the season. The Wildcats will be the hungrier team tonight as they have a lot of ground to make up to make a tournament run. Kentucky is doing a damn good job of making up for their slow start with 5 straight wins SU and ATS. Kentucky is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall now that their studs are finally healthy. The last 4 meetings between Kentucky and Vanderbilt have been decided by 6 points or less, including a 6-point win by Kentucky back on January 12th. Kentucky is 7-1 ATS in conference games this year. Vanderbilt is 0-7 ATS in home games off a road win over the last 3 seasons. Cash in with Kentucky as the underdog.

Louisville vs. DePaul
Take Louisville Cardinals

3* on Louisville -7.5 The Louisville Cardinals are rolling now that they have gotten their studs healthy. Depaul has really struggled against Louisville in year’s past, losing 14 of 16 meetings since 1997. The Cardinals are 11-5 ATS in those 16 meetings. The Cardinals are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road meetings with Depaul. Head coach Rick Pitino is 17-7 ATS in road games after having won 4 of their last 5 games as the coach of Louisville. Louisville is 20-8 ATS in their last 28 Big East contests. Louisville is 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games. Bet Louisville on the road.

Purdue Boilermakers - 2 over Michigan State Spartans

Tom Freese

Game: North Carolina at Virginia
Prediction: North Carolina

Reason: North Carolina is in a 37-12 ATS System that says to Play On road teams who are a favorite or a pick if they allowed 85 or more points in their last game if their opponent is off two straight losses by 15 or more points. The Tar Heels are 37-14-1 ATS off an ATS win. Virginia is 0-6 ATS after allowing 80 or more points in their last game and they are 4-20 ATS after allowing 80 or more points in two straight games.

Selection: Minnesota -4.5

Today Illinois will be on the road as they take on Minnesota. We will lay the points with Minnesota! The Minnesota offense should be able to control this game from start to finish. Minnesota (at home) is scoring an average of 73.8 points per game, while Illinois (on the road) is scoring an average of only 60.6 points per game. That means the Minnesota offense is scoring an average of 13.2 points per game more then the Illinois offense. It's also good to note that the favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these teams. Lay the points! Take Minnesota -4.5!
