Marc Lawrence

Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics

Sixers travel to Beantown looking to avenge a trio of losses suffered this year against Boston knowing the visiting team in this series is 6-1-1 ATS. With the Celtics returning home off a successful West Coast road swing, and Philadelphia on a nice 19-7 SU and ATS winning run since 1/26/08, we'll grab the points with the revenge minded visitors here tonight.

Play on: Philadelphia

Vegas Experts

San Antonio Spurs at Orlando Magic

Spurs the measuring stick for other teams to see where they are defensively. They have gone under the total in five of their last seven starts as have the Magic. Magic dropped high-scoring 128-110 decision in San Antonio way back in November. Supporting angles say to Play Under with a Home teams where the total is between 190 and 199.5 points (ORLANDO) - revenging a same season loss vs opponent against opponent off an upset win as an underdog (147-97 since 1996, 60.2%) and Play Under - All teams where the total is between 190 and 199.5 points (ORLANDO) - in a game involving two good teams (60% to 75%), in March games. (58-30 since 1996, 65.9%).

Play on: Under

Vancouver Canucks @ Calgary Flames u5.0
Calgary/Vancouver UNDER 5

Calgary returns home after a 1 game trip to Colorado that saw them shut out 2-0 by the desperate Avalanche. Things don't get any easier tonight as they face a rested Canucks team that has won 15 of the last 23 visits to the Saddledome. Calgary has been an ATM for unders recently as they've gone under the total 7 of the last 9 at home, 9 of the last 11 versus the Northwest, and 13 of the last 17 overall. The Canucks have tightened up on "D" as well having gone over just 9 of the last 32 games overall.

It's all about defense as the Flames are in no position to get into a shootout after traveling last night. Look for a 2-1 or 3-1 final. We'll let the teams figure out who wins, and we'll cash on the total.

Play on:: UNDER 5

Ottawa Senators vs. Buffalo Sabres (NHL)
Play: Buffalo Sabres

1 Units, Take Buffalo ML, We are getting great value here with the Sabres since Ottawa just played a very good Montreal team last night. Ottawa is just 5-11 when playing a team that has a losing record in the second half of the season like the Sabres who are 16-22 and Buffalo is averaging 4.8 goals per game over their last 5 games played. Buffalo beat Ottawa by 4 goals in their last meeting which was actually in Ottawa and the Sabres powerplay is converting at 21.3% at home this season. The Sens are 0-5 in their last 5 back to back games and it does not get any easier for them tonight against this Buffalo team that is on a scoring frenzy.

Bobcats vs. Jazz

The Jazz is one of the NBA’s best home teams and they are on a 12-5-1 ATS run at the Energy Solutions Center. The Bobcats have a better chance on Wednesday against the Lakers than they do here. Our selection in NBA action for Tuesday is Utah Jazz.

Nelly

Dallas – over Los Angeles

The Mavericks have lost three games in a row and now have lost Dirk Nowitzki to injury. Despite the rough news this is a situation to play on Dallas as the team should put together a couple of solid games before the impact is really felt. The Clippers are the perfect opponent to face in this situation as Los Angeles is 2-15 S/U in the last 17 games. Much is being made about the inability of Dallas to beat good teams since the Kidd trade but Dallas is beating the bad teams with five consecutive wins and covers as a double-digit favorite. Dallas also owns a 29-7 home record on the season while the Clippers have won a grand total of just nine games away from home. Look for the role players to step up in the first game without Nowitzki as Kidd takes over complete control of the offense.

Great Lakes

Atlanta at Dallas
Play on: Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are heating up going 4-1 ATS their last five games, and 85-81 ATSwhen playing on Tuesday nights since 1996. The Hawks are also 26-24 ATS vs central division opponents the last three years while the Chicago Bulls are 3-8 |ATS after a division game. We look for the Atlanta Hawks to grab the road ATS Win & cover tonight.

Big Al Mcmordie

Game: San Antonio Spurs at Orlando Magic
Prediction: Orlando Magic

Reason: At 7:05 pm, our member selection is on the Orlando Magic minus the point over San Antonio. This year, the world champs have been incredibly bad in 'win situation' type games on the road. That is, in games where the pointspread is 3 points or less, so that the team which wins the game, will virtually always cover the spread. Although the Spurs would seemingly be a good candidate to win these competitively priced road games, this season, they are 1-12 SU and ATS, with their only win and cover coming at Toronto (93-88 on February 11). Last year, Orlando shocked the Spurs on a brilliant Dwight Howard dunk at the buzzer for the victory, and the Magic will be focused in on winning tonight, as this will be a measuring stick for their playoff hopes. Take Orlando.

Jimmy The Moose

Game: Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers
Prediction: New York Rangers

Reason: The Flyers are 17-38 in their last 55 games vs. Atlantic Division opponents. In their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning record the Flyers are 2-8. Philadelphia has lost their last 4 road games. The Rangers are 9-4 in their last 13 games overall. NY is 35-16 in their last 51 home games. The Rangers are 14-6 in their last 20 games vs. Eastern Conference opponents. The Flyers are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings vs. New York. Play on the New York Rangers -.

Stephen Nover

Washington Wizards @ Portland Trail Blazers
PICK: Washington Wizards

REASON FOR PICK: Look out for the Portland Trail Blazers. No, not this season. Next year. Right now the Trail Blazers, the youngest team in the league, have hit the wall.

Brandon Roy, Portland's best backcourt player, is shooting less than 36 percent from the floor in his last four games. He played 40 minutes last night and looked fatigued, missing 12 of 17 shots from the field. Portland's best front-court player, LaMarcus Aldridge, tweaked an ankle last night and probably won't be 100 percent if he plays.

There is no rest for the weary yet. This marks Portland's fourth game in five days. Yes, the Trail Blazers may be fired up to make up for their horrid performance Monday night in losing to lowly Seattle. But they are 2-12 against the spread during their last 14 games at the Rose Garden and their playoff hopes are all but gone trailing by 6 1/2 games for the last spot in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.

Washington makes the rest of this handicap work. The Wizards have won six of their past seven games. They've defeated Cleveland, Orlando and Detroit during this span. Their victory against Detroit on Sunday during their last game was particularly impressive.

The Wizards weren't intimidated while playing a strong physical game in a 95-83 home win. The Pistons had ample time to prepare and were off a lopsided loss to Cleveland.

Washington beat Portland by 19 points when the teams met back in November. The road team has covered eight of the last 11 meetings in the series..

Jim Feist.

NOR Hornets and IND Pacers.
Take "NOR Hornets".

All right, so the Pacers have won 4 in a row. Who did they beat? The Bulls, T-Wolves, Bobcats and Knicks. Now they face a REAL NBA team, one bound for the playoffs. New Orleans is 20-11 SU, 18-12 ATS on the road and on a roll, at 10-3 SU/ATS the last 13 games. In fact, they are the No. 1 seed in the West! There's a huge difference defensively with these teams: New Orleans allows 95 ppg (5th best), Indiana allows 105 ppg (4th worst). Play the Hornets!

Dave Cokin.

ATL Hawks and CHI Bulls.
Take " ATL Hawks".

The Hawks want that playoff spot that's been eluding them for several seasons, and they're playing good ball of late. Atlanta is 4-1 their last five, while the often lethargic Bulls are back in another funk. I'd rather back the team that I know is coming to play, especially taking some points. Mark me down for an opinion on the Hawks plus the spot."

Game: San Antonio Spurs at Orlando
Prediction: San Antonio Spurs

Reason: Member Pick: Play ON San Antonio Spurs (+) @ Orlando @ 7 ET – The Spurs, known for their streakiness, appear to be building up toward one of their patented runs. San Antonio is coming off of a key win at Dallas on Easter Sunday and they now take their road show to Orlando. The Magic have lost three of their last four games and they now face a Spurs team that beat them by 18 points back in November. Overall, Orlando has won just three of their last thirteen meetings against the Spurs and their not likely to improve on that mark tonight. San Antonio has won three straight and has been playing much better since they started bringing Manu Ginobli off the bench as the sixth man again. Note that these three Spurs wins have come by an average margin of 14 points per game and the change with Ginobli happened with the game versus Boston last Monday. The Spurs played well in that game but came up a bucket short against one of the best teams in the league. As you can see, the Spurs have indeed responded with Ginobli coming off the bench and the whole team has more energy and has looked better on both ends of the floor. That continues tonight in Orlando. The red hot Spurs are the play here.

Tom Freese

Game: Charlotte Bobcats at Utah Jazz
Prediction: Utah Jazz

Reason: Utah is 22-11 ATS as home favorites this year and they are 8-0 ATS home after failing to cover ATS in 3 of their last 4 games. the Jazz are 18-8 ATS at home after allowing after scoring 110 or more points in their last game. Charlotte is 0-7 away when the total is 200 or higher. The Bobcats are 1-8 ATS off a division game and they are 18-27 ATS as underdogs this year. PLAY ON UTAH
