4 Unit Play. #725 Take Wichita State +5 ½ over Missouri State (7:00 pm ESPN 2) An early start to this affair will take away some of the home court edge and allow the Shockers to move to 3-1 in true road games this season. The Bears scored just 49 points in their tough loss to Creighton and expect this game to be played in the fifties as well giving a clear edge to the underdog.
4 Unit Play. #729 Take Brown +16 over Baylor (8:00 pm) Baylor has been a doormat in the Big XII for the last two decades and is much improved but is not the type of team that can be laying this much wood. This is a match-up of Bears and Brown is no slouch currently 8-5 on the season including a 5-3 record when playing true road games away from the Pizzitola Sports Center. This will be a high scoring game that Baylor wins, but it will be much closer then what the experts think.
5 Unit Play. #731 Take Northern Iowa +8 ½ over Illinois State (8:00 pm) Both teams are off to impressive starts this season and getting this many points with the Panthers makes this our strongest play of the night. UNI is 4-2 in true road games this season and is an impressive 10-4 overall. They already have wins against Iowa and Iowa State and will challenge for a MVC Championship. The Red Birds have beaten up on bad teams early and where up against Southern Illinois 25-3 before letting them back into the game. This will be another low scoring game and getting close to double digits is a joke, considering the Panthers can win this game straight-up.
4 Unit Play. #734 Take Alabama -2 over Florida (9:00 pm ESPN) A match-up of traditional powerhouses in the SEC that have come upon hard times takes place tonight in Tuscaloosa @ Coleman Coliseum. The Gators have played a home heavy schedule full of cupcakes and were pounded by a mediocre Ohio State team in their only true road contest of the season. Their three neutral site games have all been in the state of Florida and Coach Donavon realizes this team is not prepared for big time SEC match-ups on the road. The Gators lost all five of their starts from back-2-back championship teams and Richard Hendrix will dominate the boards inside, as Bama pulls away late to win their first SEC Conference game of the season.
