NBA Warriors vs. Rockets Picks & Predictions for Tuesday, February 5, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

HOUSTON, TX (ATS Consultants) – Will the Warriors pull off the small upset when they travel to Houston tonight to take on the Rockets?

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Rockets as 2.5-point favorites versus the Warriors, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 216.5 points. Golden State heads into tonight's game with a 30-17 record overall and is 14-11 on the road, while Houston is 26-23 overall and 16-8 at home.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Rockets opened as 3.5-point favorites versus the Warriors but the spread has been bet down to 2.5 points at most sports books. The total, meanwhile, opened at 216 and has been bet up a half point to 216.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 57% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Rockets. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Golden State. According to latest NBA trends, the Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Tuesday games, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Western Conference, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win, 28-13-1 ATS in their last 42 road games. Houston is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. Western Conference.

The Warriors look like a sleeper team in the NBA and they are finally healthy. Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut are both back in the lineup and they will get tested by the young, high scoring Rockets.Houston is one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA and has put up an average of 112.6 points in the last five contests. The Warriors boast two of the best shooters in the NBA in Klay Thompson and Curry, who returned from a two-game absence to put up 29 points in a win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. The 7-foot Bogut should be in the lineup on Tuesday, giving the Warriors a shot-blocking presence to stop Harden and company at the rim. Bogut’s presence also opens things up a bit for All-Star David Lee, who can be more effective at power forward. Curry, Thompson and Jarrett Jack have become one of the best backcourt trios in the Western Conference and work together in crunch time as part of a three-guard lineup. Jeremy Lin (ankle) will have trouble keeping up with Curry and Jack. The Warriors win this game outright.
