Matt Fargo

Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State
Play: Oklahoma State

Oklahoma St. is picking up momentum at the right time as it has won five straight games to move four games over .500 and even its Big XII record at 7-7. The Cowboys are now in a three-way tie for 5th place in the conference and one of those teams in the mix is tonight’s hated rival. A win tonight along with a Texas A&M victory means a three-way tie for 4th place and a chance at that coveted 1st round bye in the upcoming Big XII Tournament that was once an afterthought.
The Sooners are coming off a huge home win on Saturday against Texas A&M as they held the Aggies to a season low 37 points on 25.5 percent shooting, also a season low. Oklahoma now hits the road where it has struggled on offense this season, averaging only 60.3 ppg on 40.2 percent shooting. That has a lot to do with the 3-6 road record on the season. However, probably the biggest factor is the success, or lack thereof, from the free throw line as the Sooners are hitting a putrid 56.1 percent from the stripe.

The home court plays a huge factor in this series and for both teams overall for that matter. The home team has won eight of the last 10 in this series while Oklahoma St. has won 108 of its last 125 games at home. The Cowboys have won 45 of 59 games against Big XII South Division schools inside Gallagher-Iba Arena since 1996-97. Oklahoma is 2-5 in Big XII road games this season and the Sooners have really struggled, going 3-12 ATS in road games against conference opponents over the last two seasons.

During the recent five-game winning streak for the Cowboys, defense has been the mainstay. Defensively, the Cowboys have allowed their last five opponents’ very little breathing room on the perimeter as opponents are shooting just 30.3 percent from three-point range and averaging just 4.6 three-pointers per game. The offense is not being overshadowed however as it is shooting 47.1 percent from the floor including a sizzling 48.9 percent from long range.

As far as free throw shooting, the Cowboys are hitting 73.2 percent on the season, 73.4 percent at home and 76.5 percent during the five-game run. Those are all big edges and could be the difference late. Oklahoma is 14-38 ATS in road games when playing against a team with a winning record over the last five seasons. This is a revenge game and the Cowboys are 9-2 ATS the last two seasons when playing with same season revenge. Look for Oklahoma St. to continue its torrid run on Wednesday. Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics
Play: Detroit Pistons

Detroit (+) over Boston Hard to make the Pistons a sizable underdog here based on how they have played on the road this year. Detroit has posted a 21-11 mark away from home including a victory here in their only Boston meeting this season. In fact, Detroit is 7-1 in it's last eight games in Boston. The Pistons went through the motions in beating Seattle yesterday, but the Celtics will have their full attention tonight. Detroit has won 15 of their last 18 games and are peaking at just the right time. Boston continues to put wins on the board but they have been less than impressive doing so. In their three prior home games they beat the updated Cleveland Cavaliers by just 5, and defeated two fading squads in Charlotte and Atlanta by just 8 and 10 points respectively. The road team in this series has cashed 7 straight and we're not sure that Detroit isn't the better team catching points. PLAY DETROIT

Phoenix Coyotes vs. Dallas Stars
Play: Phoenix Coyotes

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Phoenix – Nice Dog play here and not surprising since 82% of my plays for the season produced by Ai Simulator have been dogs. I cannot emphasize enough that if you want to make money in the NHL and MLB you MUST be able to consistently identify dogs that win. Supporting this graded play are several angles that work against Dallas and their team strengths. Note that Phoenix is 10-6 against the money line (+10.7 Units) in road games when playing against a team with a winning record this season; 12-9 against the money line (+7.6 Units) when playing against a marginal winning team with a winning percentage of 51% to 60% this season; 11-8 against the money line (+6.5 Units) against good passing teams that are averaging 5 or more assists per game this season; 15-12 against the money line (+5.5 Units) against good offensive teams that are scoring 2.85+ goals/game this season. Take Phoenix

Doc's Sports

Texas A&M vs. Baylor
Play: Over 147.5

#780 Take Over 147 ½ in Texas A & M @ Baylor (9:00 pm ESPN 2) Round two of the epic 5-OT game from January take place tonight in Waco @ the Ferrell Center. This is an important game for both teams as neither is guaranteed a bid in the NCAA Tournament. Baylor has great offensive players and expect a high scoring game giving the clear edge to the total. The Aggies are one of the top shooting teams in the Big XII and is ready to get the sour taste out of their month after struggling to score against Oklahoma over the weekend. Baylor plays a run and gun style of offense and thus expect both teams to reach 75 points giving us the edge with whomever comes out on top. Doc’s Sports is your college basketball leader all season long and now is the time to sign-up for our March Madness Tournament Specials.

Black Magic Sports

1 Unit on Duke -5.5

Duke will run away with this ACC match-up tonight. The Blue Devils would usually be a bigger favorite against Virginia here, but the lines makers are scared of a letdown by Duke before they get to play rival North Carolina on Saturday. This simply will not happen. That game against UNC will decide the ACC title. Duke knows that if they do not win this game first, then they won’t get their shot at the title. So this makes a letdown out of the question. Virginia is just 4-10 in conference play. Duke has won 20 of their last 23 meetings with the Cavaliers. Duke is 12-5 ATS after 3 or more consecutive wins this season. Cash in with favored Duke as the Blue Devils make easy work of Virginia tonight.

Tony Karpinski
Washington Capitals vs. Buffalo Sabres
Pick on BUFFALO

Tennessee vs. Florida
Pick: Florida

Pick on FLORIDA. Take Florida as the home dog tonight when they host Tennessee. The Gators are not quite locked into the Big Dance, so expect them to come out supremely motivated in front of their home crowd. Florida will be out to avenge their 22-point blowout loss at Knoxville back in February. They have worked extensively on shutting down the oppositions perimeter game during a recent six-day layoff, and they went out and held Georgia and Mississippi State to 9 of 35 shotting from beyond the arc. Florida need another quality win heading into the SEC Tournament next week. Take the points with Florida tonight at home as they pull off the big win

Seattle Supersonics vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks NBA Inter Conference Game of the Year

Pick on the MILWAUKEE BUCKS. The Bucks had a closed door meeting on Sunday after losing to the Pacers. Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak, was concerned with his team's defense. The Bucks have allowed their opponents to score in triple figures in five of six games. Expect a huge effort tonight at home against Seattle, who also does not play much defense. Seattle also played last night and will be winded in the 2nd half of the game. Not only will the Milw Bucks step up on defense, but in their previous game they only shot 33% and 16% from behind the arc. Expect to see better numbers and shot selections tonight as they Bucks should cruise to a double digit victory.

Duquesne vs. Temple
Pick: Duquesne

Pick on Duquesne. We are going to take the points here in what is a must win for both teams. Temple is coming off the huge come from behind win over their huge rival St.Joes on Sunday. I expect them to be a little flat here, and Duquesne is their cross state rival that can score. If Duquesne can jump out early they might cruise to victory tonight and either way this will be a tight game.

Sports Monitor

Indiana Pacers (24-36) at Houston Rockets (39-20)

TRENDS:

The Rockets have covered 21 of their last 28 games. The Pacers
have covered six of their last eight against the Western Conference.
Houston has covered 10 of the last 11 when favored. The home team
has covered four of the last five meetings. The under is 9-4 in
Houston's last 13 games. The under is 5-1 in Indiana;s last six
on the road.

GAME SUMMARY:

The Houston Rockets are perfect since their last game of January.
More importantly, they're perfect since they lost their leading
scorer and rebounder for the season.

SPORTS MONITOR PREDICTION:

Houston and Indiana under the total
