Alan Boston

BC struggle with FLa Atlantic looks very bad. URI has not played a bad game. The price is based on reputation alone. THis is a very young BC team. This is a program that for years has done it with mirrors and developing their talent to the max. They are not ready for experienced URI crew. Wednesday afternoon before thanksgiving and this game will likely play like a neutral court game. URI plus 3 or buy it if you must.
Both Oh st and Syracuse are young, but Oh St is def more athletic. Their struggle with Columbia has caused a ridiculous line overreaction. CLearly better talent getting 2.5 Go Buckeyes.
Was about to post OK St but BW just went out on it.
Fresno has struggled this year, but they still lay over a Mont St team that was getting 16.5 from Vegas and was life and death to hang on vs BOise in a great spot. Fresno minus 8 BIG!!!!!
Toledo has been just awful. Never in the hunt vs ODU and down 17-0 to start vs Vandy at home, this team has struggled with loss of pg before season. Still, Dayton is no great team. They were life and death with E tenn St. in their only game. Take the inflated 11.5 with Rockets
Finally and this will be hard to believe, Duke is one of the top teams in the country. I love Marquette and I love Crean but Duke lays over this team. It is causing me much pain, but am going with DUke minus 4

Sport: College BasketballGame: Rhode Island @ Boston College Eagles - Wednesday November 21, 2007 4:00 pmDetail:

IC'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME OF THE YEAR!Pick: 5 units (Normal) ATS: Rhode Island +1 (-108)

I think Boston College is a good looking young team, however, they are very, very young. I don't have BC high on my power rankings either as they are near the bottom of the ACC in my opinion and this showed given that this team had trouble against Florida Atlantic. This team does come off a comfortable win against the Bears of Mercer, but don't forget that Mercer had that ballgame tied at 28-28. Rhode Island is 5-0 and has beaten the likes of UAB and South Florida on the road. This should be a close ballgame, but I would not be surprised if Rhode Island ends up winning this game outright. Bottom Line: The above is my research for the game and here is the added analysis. I think Rhode Island goes on the road and beats Boston College by double-digits today as there is simply too much talent with Rhode Island as this team beat South Florida on the road and has the ability to beat a Boston College team that struggled against Florida atlantic as a -16.5 favorite and the Mercer bears as they were tied at halftime. Rhode Island is very disciplined and I exepct the Rams who are 10-4 as underdogs to win outright.

Wed, 11/21/07 - 9:00 PM Greg Shaker | CBB Total
double-dime bet538 New Mexico / 537 Hawaii Over 148.0 BetUS Analysis: NCAAB: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at New Mexico Lobos - Over 148 -110 | Unit Value: 2 DIMES
Game Date: 11/21/2007
Note: I have won a lot of money playing the Lobos OVER at the Pit. They love to push the ball here and have great offensive efficiency as well. That is why they are a perfect 5-0 on the season. The Rainbows are in the top 40% of highest tempo teams but that would probably not matter since they are more than likely going to get down early in this contest. They are going to have to play a Lobo type game and that means up and down the court. New Mex lowest output the last 4 games and the only 4 games here this year has been 81. We are also seeing more than the average of shot attempts and the reason why they have scored a lot of points. Play OVER and do it up to 151.

Wednesday Night Sweep ...

200♦ HEAT - Back on track, and all of a sudden this looks like the dominating Heat team we've all come to know. I'll lay the points with this rejuvenated squad that will continue its dominance of the Hawks tonight in South Florida. For those unaware, this series has been one-sided in recent years, as the Heat have taken 14 of 15 games from the Hawks dating back nearly four years – including a four-game sweep last season.

Wade returned from his surgery three games ago and appears to be close to his all-star form, as he comes into this one having poured in 23 points, dishing nine assists, yanking six rebounds and nabbing four steals in a 91-87 win at New Jersey on Saturday.

Atlanta has dropped three in a row and five of six after a 95-83 home loss to San Antonio on Tuesday night, and is still looking for its first road win of the campaign. Lay the chalk here, as the favorite is 8-3 ATS the last 11 times these two have met, and the Hawks are mired in ATS skids of 4-17 the last 21 times they've met Miami, and 1-10 the last 11 times they've played in Miami.

100♦ SYRACUSE - Last season these were two entirely different basketball programs, as the 'Cuse barely missed the NCAA Tournament – remember the scuttlebutt – and the Buckeyes made it to the title game. This season they both have something to prove, but it's Syracuse that has better talent in this NIT semifinal.

Keep in mind something, as you ponder laying points against last year's national runner-up, the Orange went 24-11 last season and did not receive an at-large berth to the Big Dance because of its "weak non-conference schedule." This season, the 'Cuse plays 14 of its first 15 games in the state of New York, and this is one of those games the Selection Committee will look back on.

You can also take this with you: Ohio State lost four starters and 73 percent of its scoring from last season's Final Four team. Meanwhile, all five Orange starters are averaging double figures, including junior guard Eric Devendorf (16.0 ppg), junior Arinze Onuaku (13.7) and sophomore Paul Harris (12.7). Syracuse has always played tough at the Gah-den, and tonight will be no different, as we lay the low chalk and get the easy win and cover.

50♦ CAVALIERS - As if things weren't bad enough for the Timberwolves this season, they found out guard Randy Foye's injured knee will keep him out a minimum of three more weeks. Without Foye, who hasn't played during the regular season, Minnesota has started the season 1-8. On top of that, the Wolves could be without Theo Ratliff (knee) and point guard Sebastian Telfair, who returned to New York City Monday after learning his grandmother had died.

That all being said, the Cavaliers are going to storm into this one tonight, looking to avenge last night's home loss to Milwaukee, which walked out of Cleveland with a 111-107 win. Getting back on track will be simple against the league's worst team (yes, even more so than the Knicks). I know last night looked bad, but Minnesota has no one even close to the likes of Michael Redd, who scored 18 of his 34 points in the third quarter of last night's win.

The Cavs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven clashes with teams out of the Northwest Division, while they come in sporting a profitable 25-11 ATS run the last 36 times they've carried a suitcase. Couple those numbers with the fact Minnesota is 1-11 the last 12 times it's been installed as a home dog, and is 7-21 the last 28 times it's been installed as an underdog overall, and we have a solid choice with the Cavaliers laying road chalk.

JWhip | NBA Sides
triple-dime bet503 GSW 11.0 (-110) Bodog vs 504 BOS
Analysis:

Warriors +11 (3 Unit)

The resurgent Warriors have won three straight after an 0-6 start.
The return of Stephen Jackson to the lineup has already made a bid difference with his 23 points last night in a blowout win against the Knicks.
Golden State is clearly a different team with its captain on the floor. "He is a very good player," Warriors coach Don Nelson said. "He's the heart and soul of our team. To have him back was a tremendous boost of confidence for our ballclub. The Warriors are averaging 109 ppg overall and if theres a team to keep up with these Celtics it is Golden State. The public is all over the Celtics again tonight which in return gives us a gift with this type of spread on the Warriors who are getting hot very quietly...
Extra:

Warriors are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Boston.

Underdog is 12-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
