Favorites went 10-4 against the spread (ATS)
Home/road teams posted a 7-7 SU record
Road teams posted a 8-6 ATS record
The 'over' went 10-4

Team Betting Notes

Atlanta (4-4) has now dropped three games in a row and they're 0-4 ATS over their past four outings. Total bettors have found the Dream to be a consistent play, too. While the 'over' connected in their most recent game, the 'under' is 5-1 over the past six and 6-2 in their eight contests overall.

Connecticut (3-5) has won back-to-back games, averaging 89.5 points per game, and they have covered in a season-high four in a row. In fact, while the Sun find themselves below .500 overall, they're an impressive 6-1 ATS over the past seven games.

Indiana (4-6) has been able to win back-to-back games just once this season. They haven't been terribly consistent, but they have been solid at home. The Fever is 4-1 SU/3-2 ATS at home and 0-5/1-4 ATS on the road. They will play two games in the upcoming week, one at home against the Dream and another on the road against the Sky.

Chicago (2-7) picked up a comeback win in overtime at San Antonio (0-9), keeping the Stars winless on the young season. The Sky have now covered in consecutive games for the first time this season after starting out 2-5 ATS over the first seven. The 'over' has been a good play for total bettors, going 4-1 over Chicago's past five outings.

For the Stars, they have posted a dismal 0-3 ATS mark over the past three outings after starting out 5-1 ATS in the first six. The total has done a complete flip-flop, too. After the 'under' was 4-2 in San Antonio's first six, the 'over' is 3-0 over their past three. As far as consistency is concerned, it's amazing that the Stars have allowed exactly 85 points in each of their past three outings.

Dallas (4-6) started out well, but the Wings have been clipped over the past five outings. Dallas is 1-4 SU/ATS over the past five games. Total bettors are a big fan of the Wings, as the 'over' is an impressive 7-2 over their past nine outings.

Los Angeles (5-3) hasn't fired out of the chute like last season, failing to win more than two straight so far this season. They also haven't covered in consecutive games since the first two games (May 13-19).

New York (6-3) stumbled out of the gate, going 2-3 SU/1-4 ATS over the first five outings. But the Liberty have pieced together a four-game win and cover streak since flipping the calendar to June. The 'over' is also 5-1 over their past six outings.

Phoenix (5-4) has been unable to win more than two in a row so far in a trying start to their season, and they're just 4-5 ATS. One thing has been very consistent lately for the Mercury, and that's the 'over'. The total has gone over in five in a row for the Merc heading into the new week. They have allowed at least 88 points in each of the past four while going for 87 or more points in four of the past five on offense.

Seattle (5-4) has hit the skids, losing back-to-back games for the first time this season. They're also just 1-3 ATS over the past four outings after covering three in a row from May 21-28. The 'over' has hit in each of the past six for Seattle.

By Nick Lagouretos
Bangthebook.com

Two teams from opposing conferences both currently on extensive losing streaks are clashing tonight at the Key Arena of Seattle, when the Storm (5-4) are hosting the Atlanta Dream (4-4) in a game where only of the two teams will see their losing streak coming to an end.

Seattle Storm have a 5-4 record so far this season and are sitting in the third to last place of the West. They have lost three of their last four matches and in their last game on Sunday they lost at home against the New York Liberty with an 86-94 score. Jewell Loyd leads the team in scoring with 19 ppg, followed by Breanna Stewart with 16.9 ppg and a team high 8.3 rebounds per game. Crystal Langhorne adds 11.7 ppg and 5.9 rpg.

Atlanta Dream have a 4-4 record so far this season and are sitting in the third place of the East. They are coming off three consecutive losses and in their last game on Saturday they lost on the road against the Connecticut Sun with a 104-71 score. Tiffany Hayes leads the team in scoring with 18.3 ppg, adding 5 rpg. She is followed by Bria Holmes with 11.3 ppg, while Layshia Clanderon adds 10.8 ppg and a team high 6 assists per game.

Last season both teams split wins with each team having won two games (2-2). Seattle have a 4-1 home record so far this season, while Atlanta are 2-3 on the road. Seattle are better offensively, scoring 82.8 ppg to Atlanta’s second-worse in the league of 74.9, while Atlanta are better defensively, allowing 79.1 ppg to Seattle’s 81.7. Atlanta Dream have the worst percentages in the league both in field goals, shooting with 39.5% to Seattle’s league-best of 48.2%, and in 3-pointers with 20.3% to Seattle’s third-best of 39.1%. Atlanta on the other hand are better in rebounding, grabbing 34.6 per game to Seattle’s third-worse of 29.6. Seattle are playing better basketball right now so expect them to win by more than 6 points tonight.

Prediction: Seattle Storm -6

By Nick Lagouretos
Bangthebook.com

The defending champions Los Angeles Sparks (5-3) are playing their third game in just five nights, when they are hosting the struggling Dallas Wings (4-6) in a rematch of Friday’s game in Dallas.

Los Angeles Sparks have a 5-3 record so far this season (4-4 ATS) and currently sit on the second place of the Western Conference. They eventually started to roll, having won three of their last four matches. In their last game on Saturday they won on the road against the Phoenix Mercury with an 87-89 score. Nneka Ogwumike leads the team in scoring with 21 ppg and 6.8 rpg, followed by Candace Parker with 16.3 ppg, 4.3 apg and a team high 7.6 rebounds per game. Chelsea Gray adds 14.9 ppg and a team high 4.6 assists.

Dallas Wings have a 4-6 record so far this season (5-5 ATS) and currently sit on the second to last place of the extremely competitive West. They have lost four of their last five matches and in their last game on Sunday they lost at home against the Minnesota Lynx with a 74-91 score. Skylar Diggins-Smith leads the team in scoring with 15 ppg, adding a team high 5.6 assists per game. She is followed by Karima Christmas-Kelly with 13 ppg and 4.2 rpg, while Glory Johnson adds 12.6 ppg and a team high 9 rebounds per game.

In their previous matchup on Friday, Dallas won at home with a 96-90 score. Last season Los Angeles won all three games against Dallas. Los Angeles are better both offensively, scoring a league second-best 86 ppg to Dallas’ 83.6, and defensively, allowing 81.6 ppg to Dallas’ second-worse of 86.4. Los Angeles have the second-best percentage both in field goals, shooting with 48% to Dallas’ 42.1%, and in 3-pointers with 40.3% to Dallas’ second-worse of 27.1%. Los Angeles on the other hand are last in the league in rebounding, grabbing 27.2 to Dallas’ 33.5. The Sparks want revenge for Friday’s loss and they are starting to heat up this season so expect them to win easily by more than 10 points tonight.

Prediction: Los Angeles Sparks -10
